That depends on which Bible version you use--either the KJV or the DMV (Death Metal Version). :biggrin

:toofunny KJV or DMV

DMV, isn't that where you get your license, or is that a type of license these days "Death Metal Version" for those who have to many wrecks. :thumb ;)

Edit in: I just notice I typed in "Death Mental Version" teheha ha that was funny too!

Dude where can I get a DMV? :lol

To answer Dave's question, and mind you this is just my opinion. It really depends what bands are you listening to? Slayer I would say is out, Blindside and Demon Hunter are two bands whose members are all Christians.

You have to pass the "Death Metal Growler" test first. I did (barely), and I'm required by the Death Metal by-laws not to tell you until you do. :tongue

Just a little MISFIT fun-fact for ya Cap'n, I used to "sing" in a Death Metal band so I think I pass. :tongue :lol

Alright! Here's the address to send your info (the powers-that-be gave me permission):

DMV 4ME
1234 Growl St.
Walla Walla WA 00000

:tongue

aihhh this thread is hilarious!

It depends on what bands you are talking about. Bands like Slayer or Cradle of Fifth I would not think are Christian.

When you read the Old Testament (God is the same in the New Testament of course) there were
certain things that God did NOT want to receive as sacrifices to Himself.

Same goes for music. I used to defend Christian Rock'n'Roll. Not anymore.

Spend a few hours in prayer, then turn on so called Christian Death Metal, and if you don't sense that
something is seriously wrong...

So, this music is wrong, merely because you say so? :halo

Can you provide anything more than your opinion? Chapter and verse, please?

Agreed, Nick. I did hear that Tom Araya of Slayer is RCC, though. Too bad his professed beliefs don't show up better in the band's art.

It is a shame.

If anyone wanted some Christian metal, Underoath are an awesome band, who I believe are Christian.

Underoath is great! And yes they are Christian, I would also recommend Demon Hunter & Blindside.
