First of all, I did not compare Partial Preterists to witches. I compared what I see as oxymorons, using an example that people have probably heard.

Secondly, I find your comment insulting. And calling what I said "moronic nonsense" is a personal insult. I think there's better ways to discuss something than that.

Thirdly, I simply stated what the word means. If that bothers you and you can't accept it, then your argument is with the dictionary, not me. The dictionary isn't going to change to please you and I'm not going to say that the word means something else, just because it's what you like to hear. Facts are facts. You can deny they exist, but they still will anyway. :)
Try this ; Change the focus to Dave and exchange 'dictionary' for forum.

You said, "Partial Preterism is an oxymoron... this is no different than if someone tried to say they are 'Wiccan Christian'. You either are a Christian, or you are not." That comes pretty close to a witch being an analogy to partial preterist.

You're looking for an argument. I'm not going to oblige.

It's not a contradiction to believe that some things are in the past and some things are in the future.

No, it isn't. Not at all. But it is a contradiction to apply the word "preterism" to it, since that word means, "in the past". It does not mean, "some of it in the past and some of it in the future". The definition is the definition.

If you want to insist that something that's contrary to the facts is true, then that's up to you. I can't make you agree with the dictionary, dude. :)

The problem for me in this discussion with you now, is that you're obviously taking it very personally and looking to make it personal toward me as well and just argue about it and I'm just not interested in that. So there is no point in continuing in this subject with you. Arguing on a personal level is never conducive to a reasonable discussion and I would humbly suggest to you, that it might behoove you to just step back a bit and look for a little more objectivity on this subject. But that, also, is up to you.

Whatever the case, I hope that you stay well and may God always bring you closer to Him!

Take care.

Hi Brother Dave,

I didn't really know what a preterist or futurist was untill I started posting on this site.

I have been labeled a futurist, because I don't believe everything in the bible has come to pass.

For me personally, I don't care for labels.

So I hope this questions comes across as objective from someone who is interested in knowing a little about what a "preterist" believes.

Hammer asked you a very simple question, and though I don't agree with him on alot of things, I would like to hear your perspective on this question.

His question - do you believe that you have no future?

Thanks, JLB
