Right now it is 106 and it is expected to spike to 108. Although it is cooler than the 3 days we had this week of 118. If we go out, we need to bring at least 1 gallon that we can fill up. You need to make sure to eat, too. Food isn't enough.

Our little car does not cool down well even though we have had the AC checked multiple times and they say there is nothing wrong. If it is 96 degrees out, it works fine and gets bone chilling cold. In 105 degree weather or more, forget it.

It isn't safe in my opinion to take the kids out as hot as it gets especially since they have padded car seats that don't make anything better. We have tried bags of ice and ice packs in their seats...it doesn't work long.

People sometimes say, "Oh, but it is cooler at night!"

A few nights this week it never got below 99 degrees. The other day it was 106 at 11 am. The sun rays are usually very high or extreme so it feels like you are getting cooked. It burns on skin that is not covered.
with the humidity , and the designs of some the condenser cant remove the heat as efficiently above 90 degrees. I have had a few trucks that would blow ice at me in 90 degree weather once I drove it long enough. my Nissan would do that but its getting old and that compressor wont pull that off. the yota could but I haven't tried that.

Yeah, it really makes sense. In temps above 100 degrees, the cool air can't win. Not to mention how awful all that heat is for cars.

I worked on a few cars. you can also simply see if the condenser has a few bugs etc and low but not enough to make it not work. any tiny bit can help with air flow. I have used water or compressed air to clean those. monica's truck was oddly like that. so whenever I changed the oil I would clean the condenser and radiator.

Some nice mechanics cleaned it off for us when we got an oil change a few weeks ago and it does help!

r134a has higher head pressure then r12 and is a bit more sensitive to things like that with the smaller condensors. when r134 a was first in use the condensors weren't as problematic with that. I never had to blow out one. unless it was a large truck and that was because of the size and going down dirt roads(garbage trucks, dump trucks and back hoes and also the street sweepers. ) the sweeper was the worst. if you didn't blow these out they could over eat and we had the oil cooler, tranny cooler and radiator to blow out

Good to know!

I don't miss blowing out the sweepers. had to wear glasses and a mask, never ever use water on that , mud fest ,lol

I've had joints ache when low pressure systems (bad weather) begin to move in :neutral and high pressure is usually sunny and pleasant can act like support stockings to your joints :). I love thunder storms and saw some where students tested a touch better during bad storms and the reason was that you're a bit more aware and awake ..

That sunshine will make you happy :) and rain will make you sad? :sad Because a lot of the time the weather seems to predict whether or not I will have a good day or bad day. Just to let you know it's currently raining and I've had a pretty bad day so far.

Sometimes, I really like rainy days. I like the dramatic lighting, the pattern rain makes when it falls onto puddles, and the sound of rain hitting pavement.

Sunlight is great, but I love a good rainy day.

I actually really do love listening to the rain. :) Especially at night, it helps me go to sleep. However, as I mentioned before, I love being able to go out in the sun too.
