It's Scary Out There

I dodged a bullet...
Boss called me this week...
Had a spot open but he filled it before I could get back to him.

Good thing too.

Jobsites usually have a couple hundred guys all coming and going.
One job here at a school I knew about...
They had one case of coronavirus a month ago...
Today there was a story about that job having 75 guys infected.

I wonder about the airport job...they had a couple there too about a month ago.

Im laying low.... ain't gonna take a job until this unemployment runs out.

Healthy youngsters seem to be more or less invulnerable to corona. They can probably go back to work as normal. Anyone over 60 should be careful.

There are some ominous trends in Brazil though. COVID seems to be affecting youngsters more there, possibly because many are exposed to mega doses on a more or less daily basis (the way US residents of elder care facilities often are). The best way for youngsters to weather corona seems to be a single moderate exposure, followed by several weeks rest while they develop antibodies.

What is really unnerving is that most of the construction industry is staffed by guys with criminal records...from misdemeanor to felons.
And many of these guys are ones to go out to protest police brutality.

Over 10,000 here in Nashville. Many without masks and knowingly infected.

I'm sure that things are the same elsewhere...

This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

It always has been risky ,imagine not even dealing drugs,or any criminal activity ,just your job and get shot .

I'm,not talking cops .paper routes,my,job several times I was minutes away from a shooting and or drive by.

it all sounds very scary and it is. All the shootings on your county. All the stabbings and shooting over here. It's dangerous just to be alive.
We have The Lord and don't know how people cope who haven't.
