I was wondering if there is anywhere in the Bible where it says Jesus will never appear physically before his Second Coming. I know he won't, or at least I believe he won't, but I am looking for a scripture specifically to back me up. Anyone, can anyone help me?

Matthew 24:23,24

"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo. here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

Then we are told how Christ will come so there is no room for deception:

verses 27,30

"For as lightening cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be...And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven...and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."

When Christ comes, His feet will not touch the ground. We will 'meet Him in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord." And the 1000 years in heaven begin.

Ok, I ask this mainly because I saw a "prophecy" Benny Hinn made, saying christ will appear physically in one of his mettings, and in churches, and stuff. I didn't buy it one bit. I remember being taught Christ will never appear physically anywhere.

Perhaps he was talking about the second coming of Christ. If so, he is correct. There also is talk that Christ will touch the Mt. of Olives. I believe that this occurs when the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven at the end of the age.

It definitely is not before the second coming that's for sure.

No, Benny Hinn said that Jesus will appear physically in one of his meetings and in churches and unto people before his second coming to warn them. Or something like that. It's on video in the internet.

Julian:

I see from some of your posts that you have questions. Let me first off tell you to avoid Benny Hinn. It's amazing that some of us who search for truth (as I do) are considered doubters and even heretical, only to be substituted with the likes of Benny Hinn. It makes me wonder where people's reasoning is at these days. It's amazing what the masses will call heretical (even where one shows them tons of scripture) and yet believe downright stupid stuff in its place in other words.

That being said, Benny Hinn or not, Jesus' resurrected body is a real, albeit a glorified one. However, he will not appear at a meeting before His return, and Jesus certainly does not have a special favor for Benny Hinn. (If He were to appear anywhere, it would not surprise me if He'd show up in a bar somewhere with sinners). Look at Acts 1:11. He went up in a spectacular manner, not? So He will come back likewise, not at a meeting. This agrees with some of the previous posts containing similar scripture.

Most of the evangelists, Christian preachers and Christian help programs out these days are the blind leading the blind. Don't listen to them, but read and study your Bible instead. No sense in joining that hell-bound crowd.

Wow. That's pretty scary. How blatant can you get? This is one of God's own fulfilling Matthew 24. The exact person that Christ was talking about is on TV preaching the 'gospel' to millions. The possibility for mass deception by a supposed Christian with influence over millions of Christians is staggering.

So many people are looking for some anti-Christ, rabid atheist to come and deceive the masses. Satan is smarter than that. He is going to do it from within. It will be subtle so no one will notice. It is already happening in our churches. Back-biting, gossip, false doctrine, making our churches more worldly, creating 'miracles'.

Short of making fire come down from heaven, have you noticed that the attributes of the 'evil one' at the end of time are being practiced by God's own people right now?
