Yes teaching people to love one another, to be compassionate and merciful, to be non-violent in your actions, words and thoughts, to cease feelings of agression and hatred. HOW TERRIBLY DECEITFUL....this must be the work of Satan. We all know that they were only true when Jesus taught them. And we all know that God cares so much more about what one believes to be theologically accurate than how treat other human beings.

You do not know the true love of God if you continue to appease people with comforting lies that will ultimately lead to their eternal condemnation.
To allow people to continue in a lifestyle that leads to eternal condemnation without showing them the truth is not love.

Don't lie to people telling them that you love them while allowing them to pass into eternity condemned. HOW TERRIBLY DECEITFUL.....this IS the work of satan.

That is true solo. Satan is always talking about "love". Love of the world love of self etc.

Those who yell love the loudest should be watched and their teachings tested in the light of scripture.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Actually, if you read my post I think you will find that you agree with everything that I just said. Just because I'm being sarcastic doesn't change that it summarizes your position quite effictively.

Buddhists deny the Father and the Son.

Not all that complicated.

No, Buddhists don't deny the Father and the Son. They simply use different words and different constructs to express the same. Buddhists speak of Brahman and Atman. Same principle.

Either one is ignorant and nonetheless speaks without true knowlegde, BB, or one's agenda makes one want to see a difference and makes one desire to create that difference. In that case the perception engendered by that ill faith ... predictably ... is a wish fulfilled.

... "not all that complicated."

The difference between a Christian and a person who is deceived into thinking they are "spiritual" is that a true Christian believes the bible while a false teacher believes any lie that tickles their deceived ears.

No.

Someone who exalts himself by calling himself a true Christian can pretend anything he likes, but if he doesn't first and foremost use Mark 12:30-31 as the blueprint for his life, he clearly demonstrates that his belief, whatever it may be, lacks sincerity and is without true foundation. Such a person can never be a true Christian. For such a "true Christian," Christ Himself would have had no other name than "hypocrite."

Jesus taught that only God is good.

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Those who teach that man is already a child of God is calling Jesus a liar.

The bible teaches that no man is good...

If - as you claim to know - man is not already a child of God, then why was Jesus, who said of Himself "why callest thou me good?" referred to as "son of God" .... and why did He refer to others as "brethren"?

... Rather than try and come up with an answer, BB, just think about what I just wrote.

And yes ... the bible correctly teaches that no man (of himself) is "good," but that is not the same as saying that man "is bad." In human constructs, as you so often prove, BB, one can, if one so desires, twist anything to make it suit one's agenda, but words are just words and none of them can alter God's Truth.

At any rate, no matter the extent to which you may regret that, the judgement "good" or "bad" is not yours to make.

All frauds and liars have "their own way to heaven" or "enlightenment".

God did not pull His Hands off this world after the crucifixion. A large part of the New Testament itself, e.g. by means of the words of Paul, the "13th Apostle," constitutes abundant proof thereof.

Before and especially since Paul, God has communicated with human beings more frequently than any of us can imagine and since the crucifixion thousands upon thousands have received revelations. Many of them, however, have, for reasons known only to them, never spoken or, for other reasons ... the inquisition, for instance ... were never heard.

As a consequence, man's understanding of God and His Will ... especially the understanding of men who reject the expressions of our Father since the compilation of the New Testament and favour Caesar Constantine's definitions instead ... is limited.

Whether they are driven by envy or ignorance or ... what is more likely ... both, what matters is what Christ Himself said about these men in e.g. Matthew 23:13 and Matthew 23:34-35.

Christ is universal and for everyone. His love showers on everyone and everything. True Christians know the joy and praise the sacred heart of Jesus while selfish people who say they are Christians try to put all that in a box just for themselves. This does not spread love to the world and it does not help Christianity spread the word of God. It only makes a few feel self righteous people think that they are better than other people. Sorry to pop the bubble, but those people don't know the word, Jesus or the Bible, they only know how to repeat phrases from the Bible.

You really ought to quit being so self righteous in your judgment of others. You have absolutely no Biblical backing for any of your insensitive words. The Bible says that those people that do not warn others of the impending condemnation of unbelief will themselves bear the blood on their own hands. You my friend have never warned a soul on this forum.

Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I hope I didn't "twist" the words of Christ by quoting them verbatim. 8-)

Would you rather that we compromise the gospel with worldly teachings as you do in order to make it more palatable? Would you rather we "exchange the truth of God for a lie"?

So, if we are just repeating phrases from the Bible and they clearly contradict what you are saying, then who do you think is wrong? Jesus stated many times that apart from belief in him, there is no salvation:

Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
Joh 3:15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Joh 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Joh 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Christ is for everyone only in the sense that he died for the sins of the world. But it is only those who believe in this that have any part with him:

Joh 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

Do you disagree with any of the Scripture I have posted?

You can place various interpretations on the person of Jesus, say he was a great moral teacher, an Eastern mystic, a Gnostic, etc. etc., you can say he was a freaking alien if you want.

I think we should leave Jesus to Christians. They probably do not have it right either... but I think we should just leave the speculations to them.

This verse has always puzzled me.

It implies that confession and acceptance of Jesus as Saviour are not enough.

Notice "but he that doesth the will of my father which is in heaven".

This also reminds me of this verse.

14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?

Those in Christ are those that demonstrate his works. Love and Compassion for all, understanding in place of judgement, and all other fruits of the Spirit.

Many Evangelical Christians today believe they are saved for kissing the "fill in with your choice of appendage" of Christ and demonstrating rotten works.

This is a true fallacy!

I am warning people on the narrow path of fundamentalism that they are on the wrong path. Let me explain why. People who are mentally retarded or incapacitated in some way don't understand the Bible so are condemned by fundamentalist and kept out of heaven, when Jesus would, will, and does go to those individuals and leads them on the path of love to the pearly gates. The fundamentalist stand outside those gates and say they are not in heaven and that the Jesus who led them there is false. Love opens the heart and the pearly gates. Opening the Bible without the heart is like the right hand fighting against the left hand.

Mentally retarded people may or may not be able to understand the gospel depending on the situation.

God will judge rightly. I don't know any true fundamentalists who condemns any individual to hell since that is God's job.

We simply preach the gospel.

In the Mayahanna tradtion of Buddhism, there is such a thing as a Bodhisattva. That is, a person who has liberated themselves from the cycle of suffering and has come to the realization of deep spiritual insight. But they refuse to stop there and instead, turn to the suffering of others and vow and to take upon that burden in a life of unlimited compassion.

"all the Bodhisattva-Heroes should discipline their thoughts as follows: All living creatures of whatever class... all these are caused by Me to attain Unbounded Liberation Nirvana. Yet when vast, uncountable, immeasurable numbers of beings have thus been liberated, verily no being has been liberated. Why is this, Subhuti? It is because no Bodhisattva who is a real Bodhisattva cherishes the idea of an ego-entity, a personality, a being, or a separated individuality."

"If a Bodhisattva announces: I will liberate all living creatures, he is not rightly called a Bodhisattva."

The Diamond Sutra, (Translated by A. F. Price)

I think that a Bodhisattva is not supposed to believe that there are people that need to be "saved".

People on this forum are saying that people are following Satan and going to hell all the time. If you say this is wrong, open your heart they flag you for a warning.

Preaching the gospel is a warning to those who do not know the true Christ.

These are Christ's words not mine.

John 3:17-18 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

You can choose to follow your made up version of Jesus and I will follow the Jesus of the bible.

Jesus was not a Hindu or a mere heathen that wanted to be falsely called an "enlightened man" as this thread discusses. He is God manifest in the flesh.

Satan is always trying to deceive the simple through his ministers. Trying to place the Lord in the same category as devil worshipers is vile.
