Thank God for His faithful servant that has planted seeds as she saw something in Amber that touched the judges heart. There needs to be more Godly compassion towards others no matter what they have done. I've seen many inmates come to Christ who are either still in prison or have gotten that have furthered the kingdom of God as one helped show them the way of Christ while they were incarcerated.

Well if you really think about it at one time we were all prisoners to sin until Jesus came and set us free,.. so really we have more in common with inmates than we think.

In this flesh we will always be a prisoner to sin as that's its nature, but now we have the nature of Christ that we walk in obedience to God's commands and statures as we walk in the Spirit and die to self.

One thing I use to tell the inmates when I did Prison Ministry is that the only difference between you and me is that I never got caught for things I did.

Umm,.. actually you probably faced some sort of punishment for a lot of the sins you committed even if it was just guilt, you just didn't do anything serious enough to get arrested for it but I see what you're getting at. I nearly got arrested when I was a child for online threats and harassment but thankfully, no charges were ever brought against me. Anyways, it's really good to know that prisoners have the opportunity to learn that it doesn't matter what they have done to wind them up behind bars. They always have a God that loves them unconditionally and the chance to repent for their sins just like the rest of us do. :)

Nope never received any punishments for the things I did back in the 70's mainly in school other than having to go to the Principles office for fighting (which would now put you in juvenile jail for touching another student) and then it was only hearing blah, blah, blah now get back to class. Can't forget the weekend partying involving pot, hash and alcohol as living in the country we partied out on the back roads in the woods where we could not get caught. Ya, I had a bad girl side at one time.

No offense or anything when I say this but wow,.. I thought all the stuff that I did in my past was bad. It was don't get me wrong, but never to that extent.

I love all the mercy and forgiveness that we witnessed in the trial. It is much needed in our current world. I do think that the judge was wrong to give her a Bible at that time, as a judge. I think she should have given it to her after it was over. I don't think she should be sued or punished or anything but we should recognize that it violated church and state separation. All in all she seems like a great judge.
