"Do not judge or you will be judged".

All Jesus was saying is don't judge in hypocracy. When Jesus said don't judge or you will be judged back, the chapter is talking about hypocracy, Jesus was only talking about judging in hypocracy.

"Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”

Jesus said it's ok to judge, just don't be a hypocrite or judge by appearances. Alot of people judge in hypocracy and by appearances these days. That's why this world is a mess.

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. Matthew 7:2 New King James Version

Yes, Jesus is talking about Judging in hypocracy, that's why his next words were , you hypocrite. Otherwise, do not judge by appearances, but with a right judgment.

Jesus does not contradict himself.

Many people generalise one verse and say don't judge others as the final word, when Jesus said you can judge but do it correctly just don't judge in hypocracy or judge by appearances.

God cannot be a hypocrite. Jesus judged, the Apostles judged, and the biggest judger would have to be Paul, he was always judging, and his past didn't smell like roses. Yet did he judge in a correct judgent.

Why do Chrisitans think they cannot judge. Will you not judge angels.

our judgment is not one of condemnation but stating what scriptures has to say.. ezekiel wrote about the duty of the watchman. blow the horn when danger is approaching . when we warn of danger we are not judging the secrets of the heart . our so called state and national leaders need to b warned. especially those who support the if it feels good do it rights...i seen a couple articles where church members was up set over a pastor praying for president trump in person.. they was in the wrong we are to pray for who ever ask for prayer ..our world i getting very tilted away from God . the principals which was once stood for .is being sat on... w judge our children with punishment when they do wrong but out of lOVE

1 Corinthians 2:14-15 says, "14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

Romans 4:5 teaches us that God only awards Righteousness only on the basis of Faith in Christ and His Finished Work. Our Faith must be placed exclusively in Jesus, the Son of God, and Jesus, the Lamb of God to be awarded Righteousness. If we preach Jesus alone and ignore the Cross (the Lamb of God), that is another Jesus (2 Corinthians 11:4). This is sin, a insult to God!

Every Word that God has ever spoken is “In Righteousness” (Proverbs 8:8), and therefore must be heard and received (Revelation 3:3) through Faith in the Cross of Jesus Christ, or we remain trapped in the Letter of the Law and forfeit the opportunity to walk in the newness of the Spirit. If this is not understood, there will only be a make believe spiritual walk and one might even have a name that they are alive, but Christ says they will be dead (Revelation 3:1). The Letter of the Law can only produce carnal Christians, and to be carnally minded is death (Romans 8:6). We must look to the Cross and live!

Proverbs 22:17 says, "Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge."

Bowing down one’s ear is to humble oneself and to hear the words of wisdom is to hear God’s Word as Truth (Proverbs 8:7), and “In Righteousness” (Proverbs 8:8), which results in a doing of the Word (James 1:22).

Those who don't build the Temple through Grace by Faith (Christ and Him Crucified) clearly shows they haven't totally surrendered their life over to Christ. Why? Because everything you do and everything you have will be that hinderance to you (Galatians 5:7 NKJV). They will not understand the Word of God or have the experience of God.

To have faith in anything other than Christ’s Work at the Cross for any provision from the Lord is to sow iniquity and to reap nothing but that which is vain (Proverbs 22:8).

Judge not least ye be judged, is not just a standard against hyprocrisy. Many of the times I've given a judgment, whether spoken or silently, not long later a simular situation falls on my feet and I'm tested by my own judgements.

I think the phrase is just as it sounds. It's a warning. If you judge, then how you judge is the test you face.

Hypocracy is only if you judge others yet you do the same thing. If you judge correctly and not in hypocracy then it's fine, it cannot be measured back.

When Jesus gave the statement don't judge or you will be judged, people always leave out the last words he said to get the correct context , he said "you hypocrite".

So do not judge in hypocracy or you will be judged back.

Jesus also said "Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment"

So don't judge in hypocracy or by appearances, only judge in a right judgement.

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.

For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”
1 Corinthians 5:9-13 NKJV

"Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:"

So people who think it's wrong to judge others they also think it's wrong to condemn terrorist attacks?.

And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Matthew 7:3-5 NKJV

Yes, one word Jesus talks about when saying don't judge others, "hypocrate". Why would you judge someone if you do the same thing it will be measured back. Take out the plank.

There are people who lie and say they are against something when in secret they are for it or do it.

Here's another thought. What is the law of God compared to God's mercy and His grace? Is the law imperfect? That it has to be corrected by God's grace? Paul writes about this in at least one of his letters. That the law is just. It points out our flaws and convicts us of our sins. But we are rescued by Jesus through the Grace of God.

In the same way we can look at our own judgments. Are the judgments wrong? Sometimes they are and we are judged by the standards of judging unfairly. Are the judgements hypocritical? Often times they are, even if the standard is right we also fail to meet it when we are tested by the same measure.

God gives us both the law to convict us, as well as grace to rescue us. Should we do any differently? Be ever forgiving, because we need forgiving ourselves. Even if the judgements against others (and against ourselves) are right in the judgments?

Jesus spoke about what to do if another Christian sins against you. He said to tell them for their benifit. Kind of an act to save them. The measure to continue if they don't listen goes forward in two steps. Steps that I think shows wisdom on God's direction. Both in bringing two witnesses to the discussion, as well as bringing it to the church elders have the condition unsaid that the witnesses or the church leaders won't agree with you about the other person. But if your judgement is correct as it's recognized by others, then they can be an extra measure to talk to the other person. In the end if the person doesn't see any different and doesn't change, the resulting action that Jesus says to do is to have nothing to do with that person.

This would be a teaching on making right judgements, through correcting each other. Another teaching on judging is to take the plank out of your eye before trying to take the speck out of another's, speaks about judging yourself first before being hypocritical to others.

Yet these teachings are not alone. Combine them with the teachings of mercy and forgives. To forgive 70 X 7 times. Basically an uncountable number of times when a person repent and asks for forgiveness. Or combine the teachings on judging with the teachings to be humble such as the parable of the Pharasee and the sinner in the temple. Don't consider the lessons on making judgements without the context of the other lessons as well.

Although I am lost on some of this here's my take on it. I'm a firm believer in karma as well as scripture. I think what it means is if you judge others prepare to be judged yourselves.

as has been stated judging is discernment from right from wrong fake to real ..like anything it gets blowed out of proportion . if i see something that is wrong and i say it is wrong that is not judging only speaking facts of truth . just like the alcohol/drug abuse the lgbt to abortion ..we speak against it denounce it.. because the word of God says .if caught driving 75mph in a 55 mph zone.the patrolman on writes the ticket by what has been recorded on radar .you are given a chance to prove innocence in court ..
