th
Swords and helmets he has forged....same as a few knives, battle axes, umm, knit a few clouds (chain mail head wear) and chain mail shirt ... He loves horses, but we don't have and and he will not show them ...Terriers do that.

I wonder what medieval stands for.
I live near the Mediavalle.

Anyway, it's good to have you here.
Why don't you start a thread in the "Lounge" forum about music you like... I'll join in. I love music.

Welcome, and looking forward to seeing you around!
Mediavalle......??

My husband also wanted me to correct something else, to not leave the wrong impression. Weapons/armor is not the only things he makes. He has made beautiful copper flowers, he gave me metal roses he made for Valentine's saying, "they will last as long as my love for you". AWWWWW..... He made our 4 post bed frame....hearts included. He KNOWS metal, and can make anything you can dream up out of it as long as he has the measurements. God has given him an amazing ability to see blue prints, make them 3D in his head and PLAY with what is written to see if there is a flaw in the design!?! If he doesn't have a tool, the Lord has given him the understanding of what needs to happen to create the desired affect, and he makes a simple tool to work with the metal to get the result...... I find it thrilling to witness! :biggrin

It's okay,
Some of us guys just like making utilitarian and pretty stuff.

And where yawl might look at the things and tools we make with facination and wonder...we look at the things that others do with the same facination and wonder.

Like singing and dancing...how people do that is a complete mystery to me.

(I'm an electrician who is a recovered Chef and plays with leather)

Then there's those who have writing talents and those with administrative organization talents. Again...all that paperwork? I'd rather have my fingernails pulled out than deal with that. But I really enjoy those talents in others.

Everyone has some kind of "mysteriously" wonderful talents that seem miraculous to others. (Except for those who never try)

So....
What are your talents?

I am learning to rebuke the spirit of discouragement and self-debasement within me. I see myself more as being an "enthusiast", cause I feel like I can only offer Drummer Boy "Pah Rump a Pum Pum's" with my talents..... I (when not over analyzing) enjoy Art, Music, Praising God to me is growing HUGE.... Singing is easiest. Haven't had a piano to really play in ages (and one won't fit in my apartment). I played Trombone in band as a kid........... I am learning to try to open up to people.

Just as a thought...
Ever given a thought about a keyboard?
When you don't have room or $$ a piano weighted keyboard is the bomb. You can use either headphones or an amplifier with it. (To keep the neighbors happy)
They can have pedals set up to be exactly like a regular piano too.
The stand, bench, and board can be stood on end or folded up and fit into a closet.

I live in Nashville...we got tons of musical instruments and players here. I look at all of them in awe. But I have become acquainted with the many many options. A piano weighted keyboard feels and plays just like a regular piano. Harder you hit the keys the louder it plays...and the keys feel like there is a hammer hitting the strings...

Total setup for a used board with pedals, stand, and amp shouldn't be over $600. Extra memory cards for click tracks and Accompaniments will be more of course...but hey, getting back to music and mastering the piano with both studio and classical music takes time. It's a developed talent but no matter how much I try my hands simply don't have the music in them. Yours do. Don't waste the gift God has given you.

There is a keyboard I would need permission to use on a more regular basis at the Neighborhood Resource Center near home.... It mostly sits in a corner downstairs there. I do not want the fear of other botched attempts at playing be able to conquer me.

Headphones...they cover a lot of mistakes.

Before I became a good chef...I made plenty of nasty tasting food.
Nobody would think that today with the truffles I make or any of the other things I make. But trust me. I got pics.

Truffles are your favorite thing to make?? Is that your favorite to eat?? Please remind me, are Truffles mushrooms?? I don't get a lot of fancy foods....
