I am sitting at a coffee shop. A table nearby has about 12 guests. At the moment there is a lull. But about 5 minutes ago There was roaring laughter. Belly laughing. All kinds of guffaws. Sounding like a tavern in a Lord of the Rings scene. Interesting to hear the different tones, different pitches. Almost competing for MVP. A woman had a kind of deep screech. I think she won. It sounded remotely evil. Like the wicked witch of Western Australia.
Good to see people having a good time. But echoes of aggression in my fertile mind.

I am very sensitive to loud noises so I used to judge people who laughed too loud. Then it occurred to me that I was just jealous because I was so depressed. I still cannot bear loud music, but I have come to terms with children and adults laughing and being happy. That is progress for me.

It probably does matter what we're laughing at, cause not all laughing is good.

Matthew 27:29-31

I picture major laughing at how clever they probably thought they were being.

Anyways, don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, cause most of the time........laughing is GREAT.

IMO there is no greater laughter than that of a child, but like some adults only if they are not rudely laughing at others.

Laughing. Yeah it is an interesting one. I know the feeling of being laughed at for a stupid mistake once,. felt humiliating.
Belly laughing. When someone laughs deeply from the diaphragm. It can feel aggressive. Yet if I am the one laughing it is a great stress relief.

I think I might be in a transition stage with humour and laughing. I like humour because it relieves my anxiety. But maybe I should aim for more seriousness. Respect. For self and others.
Seriousness is ok. In fact I can be more serious than default serious people. Seriously, I need to get serious.

I can't believe it, but my wife purchased an electric pedal assist bike. Normally I'm lolly gagging around while she struggles.
So... Our first trip out and she was giggling like I have not heard her giggle in 20 years as she passed me... Several times.
It was so nice to hear her giggle like a child!

There is always a proper time and place for good humor and uplifting laughter and then those times and places of being serious.

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

I think it's good to laugh. I have a sense of humor where I can see the humor in things that might be overlooked by others.
On the talent shows like America's Got Talent, I always enjoy the stand up comics.

Life can be hard or sad sometimes....so look for the humor in things.

No comment on that generally but i will say its okay to stand out. I remember when i was on the double decker bus with my brother and his friend, there was a dialogue between an old white man and 3 young Somalians, in the end of the chat everyone was laughing on the bus, even down stairs and even the driver was smiling. It was funny.
