I haven't posted in a while, but if you recall, I left my terrible, terrible job to pursue a new career in teaching. I have been working as a sub to get experience and I have definitely been getting lots of that.
When I started this, I knew it would be really tough financially and I couldn't go too long on sub only pay with no benefits. I was hoping that I'd be able to get a full-time teaching job by January, but as the new year came and there were no jobs to apply for in my area, I started to get worried and felt hopeless.
Then a week ago, I got a call from a school I interviewed with over the Summer about a temporary/leave position. Good news! I couldn't believe they remembered me. I was going to have the interview today, when my favorite school called and offered me a full-time position (with benefits) that starts right away on the spot.
Its been so long that I've had doors just open like this for me. I'm actually tearing up a little as I type this. Because of career and other major life issues that are going unresolved, I've been feeling like God has completely forgotten about me.
Thank God for this open door and opportunity. Its going to be hard work, but I'm super excited.
