the son died for you. its a gift. the jews teach that one can do torah and be ok with the Heshem. that isn't what the Lord teaches. Jesus said one must believe first then the the good works will come out. while the torah deal by the messianic jews is another topic. so basically, if I deny Jesus I will then be saying that he died for nothing. why would jesus die in a horrible way if it wasn't needed?
Why wouldn't Jesus death be needed?

if I had the power under the tanach to be holy I wouldn't then need the blood. the torah doesn't make one holy. it shows you that you aren't and points you to the God who can.that is what the torah is for. a jew will agree to that but he will never see that the son was the atonement for the sins of the nation of isreal and the world.

prior to the cross with very few exceptions, it was death for the sins of adultery, sodomy. jesus changed that and also one didn't have to die for failing to follow the feasts where death was the punishement.

one cant be a jew and believe in jesus. the YHWH as described by a Jew doesn't have a son. if I deny the son then the Lord will deny me.
Proverbs 30:4;
"Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Whose hands have gathered up the wind?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak?
Who has established all the ends of the Earth?
What is his name, and what is the name of his son?
Surely you know!".

You said your father was mixed up in this because he was a traditional jew. Did I get that right?

whenever I capitalized the word Father its referring to God the Father. my dad has been to church. he isn't that anti-Christian. my aunt also a jew in like manner now attends a Baptist church.

It depends on what you're learning, but in general it doesn't offend God.
Agreed.

Christians might learn some history from other religions, for example, but there is nothing to learn in terms of salvation or the Christian life and what God expects and wants from us.

Actually there is value in comparing Christianity with other faiths to determine what the fundamental differences are, especially when superficially the devout of many religions can appear so similar.

Christians,
Does learning from other religions offend God.
Not at all, unless Christians adopt the ways of the heathen.

In fact, it is good to discover after examining all other religions that none of them has a remedy for sin, and none of them has a resurrected Savior who paid for the sins of the whole world through His own suffferings and death.

Religion is worthless. The important thing is to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Religion says do. Jesus says done.

like it or not Christianity is a religion with a simple way to god. we do have rites.

I call baptism a rite. communion as well.

The only way to God is through Jesus Christ. John 14:6 NKJV

The Only way to Jesus Christ is by the Means of the Cross. Luke 14:27 NKJV

The only way to the Cross is a denial of self.
Luke 9:23 NKJV

It is Jesus Christ Who paid the price at Calvary's Cross for man's Redemption. No one else paid that price simply because no one else could pay that price. He Alone paid it; therefore, to be Saved, one must accept Christ. There is no other way.

uhm, so why is there baptism? who gave that command to baptize, and communion.

those are INTEGRAL to our soul's salvation. to ignore them is to do so at one's peril. im not saying that one has to be that way to be saved but the time will come when YOU will have the chance to take part of a communion and be baptized and if you harden and refuse to do them. I seriously doubt you ever repented.

I really, really, wish Christians would stop propagating such a silly idea--that Christianity isn't a religion, that "religion is worthless." It is patently false; Christianity is a religion.

Jas 1:26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.
Jas 1:27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. (ESV)

I don't agree with everything in this video but he makes some good points:

One look at the falderal in the background he's "rapping" from, and I cannot say, "Same here."
