I saw this video on Youtube. It is Benny Hinn healing people to the song "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" which is a metal band by Drowning Pool (I think). This is a pretty popular link that that shows people dropping while Benny Hinn heals them.

Does anyone think that Benny Hinn is really channeling the power of God? Do you think the people there really believe it or are they just going along with it?

I'll bite.

In the expose on HBO a few years ago, they caught Benny and his wife doing some slight of hand trickery. People were asked to fill out a card asking for personal information. No one realized the seat number was added to these cards. Benny was wearing an earpiece and she was reading the seat number and the personal info to him via a microphone. To the audience, it sounded as if Benny just kinda "knew" these things about the people he was calling from their seats.

Ahh, the power of suggestion rears it's ugly head. :-?

The gospel according to Quath?

HBO?

Are you sure you have not been watching Steve Martin movies?

Another con-artist, Peter Popoff, was exposed by James Randi some years back.

Video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7BQKu0YP8Y

But he has returned, and can be seen on paid programming late night and early morning.

It amazes me how scammers like Hinn and Popoff can still deceive others after being exposed. I guess the power of suggestion and herd mentality is extremely powerful.

Many charlatans have been exposed for what they are yet people still believe them. True.

The deceptions from tobacco companies have been exposed time and time again yet people still smoke.
Why?

Benny Hinn has been investigated by 20/20 and other secular media outlets more than once because of the lies he's told concerning financial matters.
I remember they uncovered quite a number of false financial charities that he claimed he sunk loads of his supporters money in to. One only needs to look at his lavish lifestyle to see where the lions share of the funds are going.
Why should the spiritual aspects of his ministry be any less deceptive?

Sometimes if the church refuses to expose its own ..God will use the world instead.

Mr. Potluck, doesn't that sound familiar? 8-)

Thanks destiny, much truth in that statement.. :)

Addiction in both cases.

Some want to believe the deception because the truth is unacceptable. It's this principle that a charlatan relies upon. For without it he has nothing to offer.

And some don't know truth when it's standing right there before them.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:

John 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? ...

So how are they suppose to know? A lot of Christian preachers say that God does heal through the power of Jesus. They say to pray for healing. Benny Hinn just does it faster. So in a sense, he is not teaching anything unbiblical. So how are they to know if he is real or not?

Our dear Benny had that choice when he came up to the stage didn't he? He could either teach truth or continue the deception. He chose the latter. He had been exposed and I seriously doubt it was only once during his way to the "top" of the pile. Yet, the people chose to accept his antics as truth. And again, that's what those like him rely upon.

He threatened the viewers that those who didn't double their giving in 1999 would not survive the year 2000. Even the donors who had already called in their pledges were ordered to call back and increase their giving or face the consequences. This alone certifies Benny Hinn as a false prophet.

Yet no matter how many times Hinn's false prophecies have been exposed, he still performs to overflowing crowds in stadiums around the world.

You know the truth. We know the truth. And if indeed they do not then it's to our shame ... and yours. Yet, those overflowing crowds aren't without excuse either.

I saw the video, it was a cheap layover. I have done better with my mixer. Anyone with a good mixer can incorporate lay-overs. I must say that one was actually very amateur.
