In the book of Genesis we see angels eating human food

Genesis 18:1 "And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;"

Genesis 18:2 "And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,"

We see the Lord and 2 angels coming in contact with Abraham..

Genesis 18:7 "And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetch a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it."

Genesis 18:8 "And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat."

We see here angels consuming food (meat at that)

In Genesis 19 we see 2 angels probably the 2 who just ate with Abraham and the Lord.

Genesis 19:1 "And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground."

Genesis 19:2 "And he said, "Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways." And they said, "Nay; but we will abide in the street all night."

Genesis 19:3 "And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat."

Genesis 19:4 "But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:"

Genesis 19:5 "And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, "Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them."

We see these filthy men want to know (mate) with the angels this can be seen in the next verses.

Genesis 19:6 "And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,"

Genesis 19:7 "And said, "I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly."
Understand, Lot was a judge.

Genesis 19:8 "Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof."

Ask yourself what did these wicked men of Sodom want to do with the 2 men (angles) in Lots house? That Lot was willing yo give his 2 VIRGIN daughters to the men?

We know exactly what they wanted to do, they wanted to do to those men they saw, what they did with each other, the entire place was a rapant sex party with no moral.
They saw fresh meat and wanted them.
The thing that amazes me is how God kept them from Lot and his daughters ext for all that time, glory to God!
The people who carnally wanted to know the two men, had no idea they were angels, but Lot did and feared God and the consequences of letting those men know the two men, so he offered his two daughters to try and convince them otherwise.

Grace to you, peace from God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

had no idea they were angels

If you look closely they did in fact know, the men were blinded, and still were trying to get to the angels - after being blinded out of no where they had to know something supernatural was going on, they just didnt care.

Genesis 19:11 "And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door."

It doesnt mean they knew they were angels it just meant thier burning for lust was great as is the signification of God's desire to utterly destroy them, which He did.
There is no scriptural proof they knew they were angels, they call them men and the only scriptural proof of anything is that these people were exceedingly wicked and driven by thier fleshly desires. Lot knew they were angels of God, the men wanting to be carnally with them didnt, they just wanted them, even morso than 2 virgin daughters, signify's how deeply they burned for thier lust's in the flesh.

Grace to you, peace from God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Well Lot noticed the men were different

Genesis 19:2 "And he said, "Behold now, my lords

So its a chance the men who saw these angels noticed they were different also.

Lot was a man of God, Abraham knew it was the Lord and two angels also.

These men who wanted to be carnal with the two they thought were men were not men of God, far from it, the wrath of God was upon them they were so far from Him and His wrath was dealt to them.
They saw nothing different because they dont know God, they thought they were two fresh peices of meat for thier carnal desires and wanted to know them.

Grace to you, peace from God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Something to ponder...

In the Bible, angel can have two meanings. one meaning is obvious; they are from above (heaven); the other meaning is they are earthly messengers.

So, how are we to determine if an angel is heavenly or earthly?

In either case it wouldnt matter, they came with the Lord.
The men saw them and wanted to know them whether they were angels or men of the Lord, which in both cases, they are men of the Lord, for the angels are God's and the men of God are God's.

The wicked men who wanted to know them carnally knew them as men, and wanted them.
Lot knew they were angels of God and knew they (the wicked) would be dealt with by God, so he offered his daughters to detire them, but the wicked men had no part with Lot's offering, and judgement was made, so fierce was the wrath of God that even Lots wife not hearing God, for she did not follow His commandments, was judged.
She looked back, when He said, "Do not look back"

Grace to you, peace from God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I think it's only one meaning, messenger from above....

1) a messenger, envoy, one who is sent, an angel, a messenger from God

Angel of the Lord is what's different

1) messenger, representative
a) messenger
b) angel
c) the theophanic angel
