One of the hardest things a Christain guy especailly can go through during our teen years is lust. I personally go through it and i regret every thought that enters my head. What are some good ways to decrease the lust in our heads. I know we can't get rid of it especially the world we live in now were you see it everywere. But what are thigns we can do to help us become better at not doing it?

I know that one of the things i have done is pray to God. I've also read on another forum that when I guy experiences that he pictures his Mom wearing the same thing, It'll work but that's just gross. I personally wouldn't do that but if you want to you can.

haha i guess it could work but it is gross. And prayer does help, is there any scripture anyone knows about that encourages us in a postive way not to do it?
 
The answer is:
Dont give yourself time to think about it. Honestly keep your brain focus. I find Music really help. Keep headphones on all day if you have to. Also, Biblicak teaching recording. If you can get used it then it will focus your mind off of other things and onto God. But you need realise that those thoughs will come into your head all the time because Satan evil little fingers are everywhere in this world, the key is not to entertain those thoughts. The first thing you have to do is recognize it as a healthy, normal reproductive drive and not as sinful "lust" that is to be "regretted" or to feel guilty about. The devil is not inside of you! Nature is inside of you!
 
i have before watched porn and then i was a bit addicted to it for a short amount of time but i found a way to stop all the lustful thoughts. Just think how limited everything in this life is and how everything here will end includeing your life sooner or later. Accept that then u lose the want of lust because u realise that gods eternal heaven is much better then anything in this life.

think about what will happen in the end, if it wont make you happy forever, then dont do it.

my man's got a point there. it's not so much "evil" to look at an attractive member of the opposite sex and think to yourself "wow, she's attractive, nice." it's another thing to think to yourself "heeey, wonder what she's wearing underneath all that...." and then proceed to stare at her imagining in your head all the things you'd like to do. THAT is lust! it's what your heart is feeling and you'll tell the difference between physical attraction and "luuuuust..." we are, after all, animals.
