Wow this looks and feels a lot better than the old forum

I have a few forums that i manage and was hesitant to switch over to this same software for a while, but Im really glad I did...and it has done wonders for the forum here too.

ill have to agree there.
One thing that has kept me from being a real part of this forum is there is almost always a horrible pause when I hit the 'submit' button..sometimes up to 5 minutes or so, believe it or not.
This is absolutely reacting as quickly as any of the bigger forums out there so Id say you guys definitely made a move in the right direction.

What addons are you guys using here?
Ive been too afraid to get too adventurous so far. The style issue between RC3 and RC4 was almost enough to make me stop using the addons until a gold release, but Ive got the fix that is working fine so I decided to go with a couple.




I just changed the "site_logo.png" file to my own and I really like the look as a whole.

I miss the old format, to tell the truth, but I do admit that this one does seem to submit faster...but it also seems to load slower. I am on dial up, so that could be it.

I am getting use to it now, though. It doesn't bring me comfort, Vic, when you use phrases like, "add-ons" I didn't even have all the bells and whistles on the old board figured out. : :-D The Lord bless you.

LOL... my fave was the Bible Gateway verse lookup. Many people liked the spell check mod, but I use the latest version of Fire Fox browser, which has a built-in checker. Man, I forgot some of the other mods we had on the old style. :

Those were the 2 main mods I think we had. Unfortunately they don't have the Bible Gateway mod yet for the phpBB3.

I wonder how hard it would be to make a mod like that?
Id be really interested in having it for our forums too, honestly.
