its basically pop social sciences speak for the rude behavior that is, now, the new normal.

what do y'all think? i think people are a lot less civil than even 10 years ago. its kinda strange, because in the US the -violent crime rate- is still at a low point...

but it really is micro-aggression, that i've experienced at times...not just snarky-ness, but actual small acts of aggression. and its not just me.

so...what do y'all think of this? any experiences to share? just trying to get a little conversation going, from a Christian perspective. :)

You are probably right on the money. As to "micro-aggression", that is another one of those terms that should never have been coined. What one has to do is IGNORE all slights, perceived or real, and move on. There is a pervasive "victim mentality" in North America which enables people to avoid being held accountable.

i dont think it indicates a "victim mentality." Its...what it is...small level (micro) aggression. I just think its strange, how the violent crime rate is down, recidivism for offenders in a lot of places is down, and yet...

the population -as a whole- is becoming beyond rude. what gives, you think?

I never really experienced true aggression, but that isn't to say that there aren't days where I look like this. :grumpy Lol! :lol
