So, last night we were at the Manti Pageant in Manti Utah. For those unaware, this is a pageant put on by mormons at the Manti Temple that attracts around five thousand each of ten nights, excluding Sundays.

The pageant starts at dark and is a pretty big production. It tells the story of Joe Smith and his supposed vision, visitation with angels, Seeing God and Jesus, starting mormonism, and then his death, etc.

In the first five minutes is a railing mockery of Biblical Christianity. Pretty sick.

Christians come from all around to witness to these folks and offer them hope.

Last night, the mormons shut off access to the only restrooms within blocks that happened to be situated on mormon grounds. They called in the police and refused admittance to anyone that would not proclaim to them that they were mormon, including pregnant women and children.

Wow. And they try and proclaim themselves to be Christians.

Can't have unholy water on their grounds I suppose. :-?

Before I left the debate on the easement issue was still going on. So by this I assume the LDS church got what it wanted?

It always does.

They are now trying to buy the street in front of the temple in Manti so they can get rid of any "protestors."

They did it with Main Street in SLC, and I am sure this will go through in Manti too.

We have our own little Mormon version of the Vatican going on here.

Itotally missed "Manti, Utah" and thought it was SLC.
If that's happening there then I have little doubt the LDS church has similar designs elsewhere.

The definition of a Christian is Christ like and that's exactly opposite of what Christ did. Christ accepts everybody not just white people, Jews, or Mormons. As far as i'm concerned the Mormons are a cult.

I personally agree with that last statement. Just my opinion. But I've worked with a guy here for the last 10 years and although he is smart, he is easily misslead by this religon. It's so sad! :sad

I don't care to label any Church as a cult, because I have heard people try to wrongly put that label on MY Church.

The LDS doctrine is wrong, of that there is no doubt. But as therealsuperman64 just said, "...The definition of a Christian is Christ like..." and I have met many good Mormons, just as I have met some pretty rotten Christians.

I think we may all be surprised at the type of people we see in heaven, and maybe more surprised at who we do not see there. Remember: The measure by which you judge people is the measure by which you shall be judged. God's alone the human heart, and He alone knows how every man has responded to whatever light He has given them.

You can disagree if you wish. I have lived the religion and can say with no issue that this is a cult of the first order, along with many others.........

They also mock true Christianity in their temple ceremonies.

It's strange that mormans insist on being taken so seriously when their whole religion is so silly... The founding of mormanism itself is... Dubious to say the least. As to whether it is christian, it certainly is not, they do not even have a clue who jesus really is, and he's the founder and foundation of christianity!
