Benji Dunn: How come I'm Pluto? I'm not even a planet.
Brandt: There's always Uranus.
Benji Dunn: Hah, that was funny, 'cos you said anus.

500 days of Summer is not really a thumbs up movie but there are quotes that i like...

> "This is not a love story. This is a story about love" - tagline

>" Why make something disposable like a building when you can make something that lasts forever, like a greeting card" -Tom

> "People don't realize this, but loneliness is underrated" - Tom

> "I need to know that you're not gonna wake up tomorrow morning and feel differently">Tom

Jurassic Park:

"Hold on to your butts."

Mothman Profecies:
"Would you explain yourself to a cockroach?"

The movie "Latter Days" (about a gay Mormon missionary and his first love):

Aaron (the Missionary):

Do you ever read the Sunday comics? When I was a little kid, I used to put my face right up to them. And I was just amazed because it was just this mass of dots.
Life looks like that mass of dots to me sometimes. None of it makes any sense. But I like to think that, from God's perspective, life, everything--even this--makes
sense. It's not just dots. Instead we're all connected, and it's beautiful and funny and good.

So so many, I'll just put 2 of my all time faves for now;

A man can be an artist... in anything, food, whatever. It depends on how good he is at it. Creasey's art is death. He's about to paint his masterpiece - Rayburn, Man On Fire

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. - Bryan Mills, Taken

thumbs up for the Taken quote!:)

Some Obi-Wan Kenobi wisdom:

"Who's the more foolish...the fool or the fool who follows him?"

A little Chief Martin Brody wisdom:

"You're gonna need a bigger boat."

I work in a communications center with lots and lots of computers. I use these lines a lot when things go haywire:

"Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more."

"Houston, we have a problem."

... and barely a day goes by when I don't quote some Rodney Dangerfield from the movie, Caddyshack:

"Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh?... Oh, it looks good on you though."

... and my favorite from that movie:

"Hey, you scratched my anchor!"

(it says, full scene, but it's actually cut. But most of the great one liners are there, including the tag line)

My favourite ones from Avengers, my favourite movie of the year so far

Captain America: “There's only one God, ma'am and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that"

Tony Stark: "JARVIS, have you heard the story of Jonah? "
Jarvis: "I wouldn't consider him a role model!"

Loki: What have I to fear?
Tony Stark: The Avengers. It's what we call ourselves, sort of like a team. "Earth's Mighiest Heroes" type thing.
Loki: Yes, I've met them.
Tony Stark: Yeah, takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But let's do a head count here: your brother the demi-god; a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend; a man with breath-taking anger management issues; a couple of master assassins, and YOU, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them.
Loki: That was the plan.
Tony Stark: Not a great plan. When they come, and they WILL, they'll come for you.
Loki: I have an army.
Tony Stark: We have a Hulk.
Loki: I thought the beast had wandered off...
Tony Stark: You're missing the point! There's no throne, there is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it!

"There's no such thing as a painless lesson. They just don't exist. Sacrifices are necessary; you can't gain anything without losing something first. Although, if you can endure that pain, and walk away from it, you'll find that you now have a heart strong enough to overcome any obstacle."
~Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

So yeah, it's not from a movie--it's an anime/TV series, so close enough?--but I think the quote is good enough to share anyway.

More from the same thing, pretty much:
"And we'll just have to hope our powers are good enough to help us rise above our own limits...because we're not gods. We're humans. Tiny, insignificant humans. Who couldn't even save a little girl..."
~Edward Elric, from Fullmetal Alchemist

"The world isn’t perfect, and the law is incomplete. Equivalent Exchange doesn’t encompass everything that goes on here. But I still choose to believe in its principle: that all things do come at a price. That there’s an ebb, and a flow, a cycle. That the pain we went through did have a reward and that anyone who’s determined and perseveres will get something of value in return, even if it’s not what they expected."
~Alphonse Elric, from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

"The power of one man doesn't amount to much. But, however little strength I'm capable of... I'll do everything humanly possible to protect the people I love, and in turn they'll protect the ones they love. It seems like the least we tiny humans can do for each other."
~Roy Mustang, from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Prince: I was raised to be charming, not sincere.
~Into the Woods

Dave: Not only am I incredibly good looking, I'm also incredibly rich, and incredibly nice.
Sam: And incredibly married.
Diane: Well, I am sorry to hear that.
Dave: You are?
Diane: Yes. I was hoping to reject you based solely on your personality.
~Cheers

Mollari: Ah, arrogance and stupidity all in the same package. How efficient of you.
~Babylon 5

"It's definely Envy."
"PLEASE SHOW ME THE WAY OUT OF HERE!"
"You're just gonna beg the enemy for help like that!?"
"If it means surviving I'll be his BEST FRIEND!"
- Envy, Ling Yao, and Edward Elric

"Haven't you ever heard the phrase 'if you want to shoot the general, first shoot his horse'?"
"If you want to shoot the general, you should just SHOOT THE GENERAL!"
- Ling Yao and Edward Elric

Sorry, I've just been on an FMA kick the past couple of days. I got a couple FMA novels for my birthday, and then I started rewatching some clips on YouTube. It's making me want to watch the whole series over again. xD
