JohnDB I was basically replying to Allen Wynne about saying demons and devils not being mentioned in scripture as that is why I gave all those scriptures that use those words in the KJV. What the two of you are talking about goes way over my head so in this case I will bow out of the conversation as I see nothing wrong with the statement of faith, but will let you hash it all out.

God bless both of you.

And I don't think you really have to agree with it all if you're a member on here anyways because I don't. I agree with most of it but not all of it.

Let's scrap the whole thing and start new as a community. If that means changing the format, ok. If there are items in our current TOS we want to bring over, I'm good with that.

Main thing is it lines up with our Community Message.

Scriptures needed?

The ToS is for everyone and all need to show proof, especially in scripture, of what they are speaking about as anything else is only theories, speculations and hear says.

The study of atoms, molecules and matter and how different substances react with each other does reveal an amazing design that helps to see that God has a plan to keep everything working together. Learning about the ecosystem reveals God's genius in nature. Unless I am wrong you are not going to find this in the creation story within the scriptures.

In the book of Alcoholics Anonymous, there is a chapter entitled, "To the Agnostic." It says that at some point in your life you wondered if maybe God were real." To me this happened in science class when I was studying photosynthesis. It was so miraculous that I thought there must be a God. Later, I got discouraged, and thought that God had died. But he was finally resurrected in my heart and now I know that science is all part of God's great design. He is a genius.

FHG,

Please provide a Bible verse that uses the terms, 'atom(s)', 'molecule(s)', and 'matter'.

Thanks,
Oz

Susannah,

I beg to differ. What is the meaning of the Greek Anthropos (ἄνθρωπος) in the NT?

Sadly, you display your ignorance with your statement.

You are not going to find the words atom, molecules and matter in the Bible, but Hebrews 11:3 is one verse as it points to things that are seen (matter) is made up of things which are invisible (atoms). Depending on the atom, the smallest atom being hydrogen is said to make up 90% of the universe God spoke into existence in the Genesis creation teaching. It's atoms, molecules and matter that holds up the whole universe God created

Here is a website that can explain this better than I can.

There is no cause to be rude calling one ignorant. Is the word Anthropos found in scripture, no, as it is only a Greek word that means human.

well the Word for God is dios,or the Greek equivalent yet he has a point the Word for man in that sense is anthropos, meaning mankind, human .

the bible doesn't quite have the modern views of quarks, posititrons, neutrinos, etc yet these do exist .

we are talking via a means of quarks traveling along wiring and antennae forcing a photon on the microwave spectrum to create this

Let's reel this back to what this forum is for, thank you as I am also guilty of going sideways.
