Hello everyone. I just joined these forums. Obviously my name is Laura, I'm 13 and I live in Southern Illinois. I'm a Southern Baptist, as is the rest of my family. :angel:

Hi there Laura,

I hope your parents know you are on forums?

This one is full of adult converstaions that are sometimes too difficult for pre-teens to understand.

If you have permission from your parents to visit a place that is full of debate and a variety of converstation. then I hope you learn from how serious things can get and at the same time how silly things can get. And of course, there are the wise men and the fools in every bunch! hee hee ... LOL

If you are ever confused or not quite sure what is happening. I advise you to call your parents. some web sites are just too much to handle. Even I as an adult had to leave a few forums that were just too much for me to handle. I will not tell you what those forums were. 8-) But they did claim to know God, but WOW! they didn't even use scripture to back up their beliefs. They made fun of the name of God and they mocked the very character of God. They made up their own definition of God.

If you think you see anything like that here, then Ask what is going on if you don't understand. This place isn't rated because the moderators do keep it clean when the ones who only want to cause trouble show up, but you are so young,only 13 years old.... it concerns me that you might not understand enough of some of the agruements that take place and the debates here get really deep. Please do get your parents permission to carry on in any forum you may want to participate in. Okay?

Yes, don't worry, they know. They keep a pretty close eye on my websites anyway, so THEY'LL be the ones telling ME what I can't handle, instead of me telling myself. I'm not really active on most forums usually, I lurk a lot. I don't usually debate a lot anyway. I like to look and read, but not get involved. And I usually understand it, but what I don't understand, I figure I'm not meant to.

As for websites, I'm not really a website person. I like e-mailing my friends and chatting more than visiting forums or sites.

Sounds like what my niece does. She would rather email her friends and share music and photos they all take of each other and of places they have been, like... concerts, sports events,vactaions, trips to Forida, New York, etc.
