........................................................GODLY SUPER - NATURAL LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1st Corinthians 13:1-3
(1) "If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have LOVE, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.(A worthless faith)
(2)And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains, BUT DO NOT HAVE LOVE......................I AM "NOTHING" (NOT A CHRISTIAN).
(3)And if I give all possessions to feed the poor, and if i deliver my body to be burned, but DO NOT HAVE LOVE, it profits me nothing.
(I am not a Christian - Even though I claim to be!!!!)

Today's Christianity, as opposed to Christianity of decades past, PROCLAIMS that YOUR A CHRISTIAN as soon as you accept Jesus as your savior........
THAT's NOT TRUE. It's just the beginning of your journey to becoming a Christian, and if your not immersed in WATER BAPTISM for the right reason YOU NEED TO BE
REBAPTIZED- Acts 19:2-7.
Acts 19:2-7, "Did you receive the Holy spirit when you believed? and they said to him, NO, we have never even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.". And they were asked, "Into what then were you baptized? And they said unto Johns baptism (Believed and baptized used here interchangeably - There is no difference in this context).
When they hear they were baptized with the wrong baptism, they were
REBAPTIZED in the name of Jesus christ (In water immersion baptism)

Todays Christians believe all you have to do is claim Jesus as your Savior and your a Christian and heaven is available at that very moment.
That is true, and yet it isn't.
Scripture shows us that the thief on the cross accepted Jesus before he died and Jesus knew his heart and said" today you will be with me in PARADISE."
But most of us have a long life ahead of us, and a lot of sins and ungodly issued to overcome, including learning to love, Gods super-natural way. A way we can't love unless we ask God in prayer to teach us, and give us His power to accomplish that LOVE.
And if we don't pray and ask, then we have no place in His Kingdom Matthew 7:21, because Christianity is a growth process, not just a one time event so many want to believe as an easy Christian life and conversion, and even less will ever learn to live for God His way.
What's confusing is conversion is a one time event that initially protects us, but we have to keep moving forward to maintain that place with God and continue to mature if we want to become perfect like we are told to be In Christ.

Matth. 13:3-8, The 4 soils are a perfect example of how people react to Gods word in good ways and not so good ways.It says you can accept Jesus,
but what really matters ALSO is the bible tells us how to grow and change to be not only just better, but to grow towards our perfection not just in Christ, but to work toward being more like Him in a lot of ways,
but especially in GODLY LOVE TOWARDS GOD AND PEOPLE the best we can, with the help of the HOLY SPIRIT we receive at our
WATER IMMERSION BAPTISM

Without our learning what Gods GODLY love is and applying it, THERE IS NO SALVATION, no matter how much you think you know and want to impress people with your knowledge.

So without Godly Super - natural love, it's IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD.

If you think you know what Godly LOVE is and you haven't prayed for it, YOU HAVEN'T A CLUE what Godly Love is, and your future is destroyed by satans lies.

Jesus told the parable of the two brother who when asked to work on the farm.
One said yes, but didn't go, while the other said no, but actually went.

Faith in action is like the second son, and just having faith is like the first.

Faith in Jesus produces change in how we live, no change one must question is that profession of faith real.

How does anyone show that they have faith in Jesus?

Both of these can be answered by the question, "Have you prayed to God for the SUPER_NATURAL LOVE that can only be acquired From God through prayer from an honest and contrite heart??"

There is different kinds of LOVE FROM MAN, but, there is just ONE KIND OF LOVE FROM GOD.
God's super-natural love is unconceiveable by man, and must be sought by man through prayer with all a persons heart to a point of breaking down and WEEPING, because the value and passion for Gods super-natural love becomes so intense, that a person can't fathom living without it.
It becomes all you want in life, and becomes the entire focus of your life until God in His Grace and mercy answers.
I know.
That's what I went through, and God answered.
It was beyond life changing !!!

Surrendering your entire life, plans and desires, and all you are to Christ is part of that process of getting to know God intimately and personally, and setting the foundation for that passionate desire for HIS SUPER-NATURAL LOVE, but if you continually try to make your own faith, and don't spend hours a day in prayer, by sacrificing other activities, I average 3-6 hours a day in the morning in continuous prayer, not that you have to that intensely, but seeking all that God is, the best you can, in a kind of driven desperation for your next level of your faith, not just for yourself, but for others either Christian or not, for the love that is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY FOR SALVATION, will never enter your heart, and there will always be an emptiness that only GOD"S SUPER-NATURAL LOVE can fill, and spread through your whole being, until that love totally engulfs you and RADIATES quietly to everyone you come into contact with.
LOVE isn't something you create,
LOVE is something you BECOME by GODS CALLING and DESIGN, and is as natural as breathing, most of the time !!!

I'll repeat the question for you clearly do not understand it.

How does anyone show that they have faith in Jesus?
Telling people to pray is not demonstrating that one has faith in Jesus.
you become a new creation once saved
Shows that he understands both the question and the answer.

I think we need to stay on topic which is NO SALVATION WITHOUT GODLY SUPER-NATURAL LOVE, and not get side tracked.

and you start to show the fruit of the spirit which is proof of that change

ABSOLUTELY.
But remember that as new baby Christians we are mostly doing what we are told to do by those around us teaching us through Gods word, in the beginning process of maturing in Christ Jesus.

The fruits in the beginning of our faith are more results of our first teachings along with wanting to do Gods will as an infant in Christ.

But as we begin to grow towards adulthood in Christ, our faith continually grows more, and starts to become our own more and more, as we study more for ourselves and depend less and less on others teaching us, who we should be and do, and we start depending more and more on God and the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us through His word one on one.

That's the process that leads us to wanting that GODLY SUPER-NATURAL LOVE - The maturing process, which will continually change your faith and your life in Jesus Christ, otherwise you will always be just a legalistic rule keeper, with no hope of eternal life..

Sorry I didn't realise we were only to talk about the predestined love of God that chose us before the foundation of the world, or of that love that having taken hold of us will not let us be lost as Jesus said those my Father has given me, No One can snatch out of my hand and I will ensure that all who are mine will be with me.

Then there is that amazing love that enables us to preserve in the Christian life and if we work with it is transforming us into what Jesus wants us to be, this same love enables us to endure those light and momentary troubles that many Christians in other parts of the world suffer as well as enabling us t be content in what ever situation we are in.
Finally this love will unite us with Jesus on our death.

It is a love that we cannot begin to measure or comprehend and yet my question is still valid.
How do you know that someone has that love in there life?

Who Me my brother

I thought that was the whole purpose of this topic and all topics.
To know what we're discussing, and share specifically our thoughts and feelings on that exact topic, and not have any distractions or going the wrong direction, rabbit trails, until we forget what we're talking about.

You spoke of nothing but FAITH, and THIS TOPIC IS ABOUT LOVE my brother.

2 examples

How does anyone show that they have faith in Jesus?

I'll repeat the question for you clearly do not understand it.

How does anyone show that they have faith in Jesus?

Lastly after we spoke of staying on topic, and you said, getting BACK ON TOPIC ABOUT LOVE,
yet my question is still valid.
How do you know that someone has that love in there life?

Love and faith are not the same, or interchangeable, as God separates them in 1st Cor, 13:13, "faith, hope and love, the greatest of these is love."

The reason I'm being a stickler about this is because others read these posts, some guests who are not believers, but are searching, and they need to be able to follow our coversation and stay on topic, so EVERYONE here can get information that is in HARMONY and UNITY, and flows in Godly language - not to argue or to be at odds with you or anyone, which I hope you know I'm not with you, but clarifying.

Now to answer YOUR GREAT QUESTION, "How do you know that someone has that love in their life?"

I think a more appropriate question is, "How do YOU know if YOU have that GODLY SUPER-NATURAL LOVE in YOUR life?"

For me, the answer is, "have you recognized in YOUR own life, a difference between Godly love and mans love, and not only recognized it in someone or recognized it in scripture as I did, and wanted it for yourself, and then prayed for God to bless you with His "Unique love" that changes lives like no other love can?"

That's why there is this topic and the entire forum on GODLY LOVE.

Gods LOVE is so unique and powerful, beyond anything that man could ever imagine, and it's so far above and beyond mans capacity to comprehend, that we must pray in faith, and seek God out for this unimaginable trait of GODLY SUPER-NATURAL LOVE, that we can use to love Him back HIS WAY, and to love others HIS WAY.

Luke 10:27, "The first command is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind and strength.
The second is like the first, to love your neighbor as yourself."

God bless you Who Me

This may be a new teaching for you, as this is never discussed in any church I ever attended, but as you study over the years and decades, becomes more and more obvious, even though never discussed directly in scripture, kinda like the TRINITY.

We do need to understand there are many people who have a more intellectual type of personality and not particularly overtly loving towards others. It may not always be indicative of egoism either, it's simply the way some deep thinkers and those who are intuitive doesn't mean they can't be loving. It is just that some feel more awkward in showing they considerate and loving.

We are all individuals and certain personalities are just not "huggy-lovey-touchy-feely". I am this kind of Christain and do have this type of characteristic to my demeanor because I was openly raised in a loving manner. Many in this day and age are not, which means they experience a lack of being able to show it. But again, just because they do not or cannot, wouldn't cancel their salvation or be a sign they aren't saved.

If you think you know what Godly LOVE is and you haven't prayed for it, YOU HAVEN'T A CLUE what Godly Love is, and your future is destroyed by satans lies.
This is true. But, while having a deficit of exuberating love causes a fault line of cracks in their faith, yet doesn't cancel the experience of assurance of salvation. The potential can be destroyed, but there is always the possibility of Christ breaking through fallow ground of a heart and till it, thus making it very capable of bearing fruit in due season.

Even the worst of cases are not impossible with the Lord. Indeed, He makes all things new. If we come to this realization, it can happen. We must cling to the faith of remaining hopeful. Our Christianity is Faith, Hope, and most of all, Love. That was a nice posts on the aspect of love, brother. We need more of it to be evident in our walk with Jesus.

Beau Jangles my brother.

I loved your whole post and I quoted and highlighted a small portion which I think is the key to our faith for ALL OF US.

We all must be willing to accept that God is able to save us no matter who we've been or what we've done.

It's all in the heart and God knowing our future in His OMNISCIENCE.

God bless and thank you for a great post

I like what you posted in this quote of yours. When I started this topic, it wasn't about judging others GODLY LOVE, it was meant to be about each person, personally considering Godly love for themselves in their own relationship with our LORD. Each person will love according to the personality and gifts God has given them, but we must seek that SUPER-NATURAL LOVE IN PRAYER, and apply it as God touches our heart and calls us to LOVE HIS WAY, by the Holy Spirit.

I'm not much on judging others unless it's for their benefit out of Godly love for them, which hopefully is rare for all of us to have to go to a brother or sister, even in GREAT LOVE, and bring them back as a lost sheep, as Christ showed us.

God bless you my friend.

Ah! Yes, I do see this. Quite often even now is this prayer of my heart. "Lord, that I love thee with all the full intent of mine being. Make it known unto me insomuch that it permeates the entirety of the very heart of my inward soul. Yes, dear Jesus! If this love becomes me, then I would be thoroughly enabled to serve thee with the utmost fervency of all I do and all I am in thee. Amen."

@Seaoned by Grace, thank you for the clarity. I still think my post is in many similarities to how intellectuals perceive themselves by not giving in to an emotionalistic aspect of faith. This being is due to the makeup of their nature in the first instance. To be overly outward is evident to the inward. They just find a quieter more inner perspective of the way they worship. Raising hands in worship is foreign to them.

Not for me. This has become very natural to me from the first time I became witness to people in abandoned worship by the power and love of the Holy Ghost. It was beautiful!

ABSOLUTELY !!!
To me, each of us has to be as God calls us to be, and we are responsible to no one but GOD, for how we respond from our heart!!!

You are right, the works of the Mosaic Law have nothing to do with salvation.

Hopeful
ABSOLUTELY !!!
BUT...it was a shadow of things to come, not just for gentile believers, but for the future Jewish believers in Christ, when we will all be brought together as one NEW MAN IN CHRIST for eternity in the kingdom - Ephesians 2:11-16.
(11) "Therefore remember, that formerly you, the gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by the so called circumcision, which is performed in the flesh by human hands -
(12) remember you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
(13) But now in christ Jesus , you who were formerly far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
(14) For Christ himself is our peace who made both the Jewish believers, and the gentile believers into one group, and broke the barrier of the dividing wall,
(15) by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of Commandments contained in ordinances, that in Christ Himself He might make the two into ONE NEW MAN, thus establishing peace (between the two),
(16) and might reconcile them BOTH IN ONE BODY to GOD through the cross, by having put to death the division between them.

Love in Christ
