Well are there any in the creationist club that can boast of winning the Nobel Prize? It would seem that if creationists were on to something the whole world would know it by now. At least HALF of all Nobel prizes go for dicoveries that OVERTURN, RADICALLY MODIFY or GREATLY IMPROVE upon older concepts . Science REWARDS the finding of better answers, they don't hide from them. Has ANY biblical-literalist creationist won a Nobel prize in any field? While you're at it has anyone ever won a Nobel prize that supports a major creationist principle as opposed to the evolutionary view of the world?

Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

1 Cor 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
1 Cor 9:25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Phil 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Phil 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Phil 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

I don't see that happening in a prejidice 'scientific' community. Its like saying that a black person will be well liked by the KKK.

Actually, scientists in other countries are generally unaware that there are such things as creationists. They only exist in large numbers in America.

The Nobel Committee probably wouldn't know it, unless the person was famous for it.

There may have been in something like literature perhaps. But not in biology at the very least.

The Barbarian said:

Whats do you mean by creationists? All christians everywhere believe that God created the world, be they scientist or whatever they are.

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

"Creationist" is generally used to mean "special creationist", one who thinks God created living things one at a time, rather than by nature, as He says in Genesis.

All Christians believe God is the creator. But only a minority of them are creationists, even in this country.

When I speak of creationists I mean people who are fundamentalists christians and mostly the YECs, Young Earth Creationists.

Ummmmm...show me in Genesis where God said he used evolution...God goes out of his way to show that He made everything in 6 days after it's own kind.

Genesis 1:11-12 (KJV)
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. [12] And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

He made the sun on day 4, AFTER plants were made. Genesis 1:16-19 (KJV)
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. [17] And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, [18] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. [19] And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Evolution would say that dinosaurs evolved into birds. Note what the word of God says:
Genesis 1:20-21 (KJV)
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. [21] And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:23 (KJV)
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

God's word says birds are created after their own kind on day 5. Yet land animals which would include dinosaurs are made on day 6.
Genesis 1:24-25 (KJV)
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. [25] And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

The Bible says that man was created by a DIRECT ACT in the IMAGE OF GOD.
Genesis 1:26-27 (KJV)
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. [27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

So where does Genesis say that God used nature? (By nature we know that you mean evolution...)

The Barbarian loves to say what the Bible says and loves to scoff at the Bible, yet never produces any scripture to back his claims.

If you want to believe evolution and scoff at God's word, go for it. But stop telling people the Bible supports evolution.

2 Peter 3:3-7 (KJV)
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, [4] And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. [5] For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: [6] Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: [7] But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Ummmmm...show me in Genesis where God said he used evolution...

Right next to the verse where He says he created superconductivity.

God goes out of his way to show that He made everything in 6 days after it's own kind.

Christians have long known that Genesis is allegorical. St. Augustine spent a very long time trying to justify a literal reading of Genesis and eventually gave up. It's not logically possible.

The Bible says that man was created by a DIRECT ACT in the IMAGE OF GOD.

But man is in the image of God in that he has an immortal soul and is potentially capable of fellowship with Him. It's not in body or appearance.

So where does Genesis say that God used nature? (By nature we know that you mean evolution...)

God says that the earth brought forth living things.

Gen 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

Man, too, was brought forth from the Earth, but God also breathed into him the breath of life directly, and so man has an immortal soul.

Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The Barbarian loves to say what the Bible says and loves to scoff at the Bible,

Perhaps your faith doesn't mean that much to you. Or maybe you don't understand what the word "scoff" means. But if you are smart, you will never say anything like that again about me. I take that kind of false witness very, very seriously. Do you understand?

If you want to believe evolution and scoff at God's word, go for it. But stop telling people the Bible supports evolution.

The Bible is consistent with evolution. It is not consistent with young Earth creationism, since it specifically rules out ex nihilo creation of life.

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, [4] And saying, Where is the promise of his coming?

It appears that you've misconstrued what this means. This verse is talking about Jesus, not evolution.

If Kent Hovind [Mr. tax evasion] is the runner up then my guess is that it'll never happen.
