but it's very widely quoted in Bible studies to the effect mentioned.Never said that, I said and quoted scripture which shows that the New Covenant is made first with Judah, then with Israel and then THROUGH Judah and Israel, it is extended to the Gentiles. Then you quoted...
Isa 49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
Who is the "thee" in verse 6?
Isa 49:3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
Notice that it is Israel in whom God will be (future tense) glorified. This occurs after the return of Christ, during the Millenium. The Covenant is not made with the gentiles, it is extended to them through Israel. Here is a little assignment for you, what did a gentile have to do to come under the Old Covenant? Then extrapolate that to the future and the New Covenant.
Your comment - The Covenant is not made with the gentiles - flies in the face of the language that Isaiah expresses.
"Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles... 6 "I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles. Isaiah 42:1,6
It also flies in the face of the Original Covenant Language that Moses writes to us -
4 "As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. 5 No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. Genesis 17:4-5
as well as the revelation and understanding that Paul teaches -
8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." Galatians 3:8
So your "issue" is not with me, it is with Moses, Paul and God as well as Isaiah.

This prophecy is concerning the Messiah!

"He" in this verse refers to Jesus Christ the Messiah!
"My Servant" - refers to Jesus Christ!
"My Elect One" in whom My soul delights - refers to Jesus Christ!
"I have put My Spirit upon Him" - Him refers to Jesus Christ!
Israel is not a light to the Gentiles! Jesus Christ is The Light to the Gentiles.

"He" is a reference to Jesus Christ!

"He" is a reference to Jesus Christ, not Israel!
Till He has established justice in the earth - Israel has never established Justice in the earth!

Jesus Christ is our covenant! Not Israel!
If you choose for Israel to be your Covenant then that's on you!

AAAhhh.
So now you have changed your perspective from -
Israel is given as the Covenant people to be a light to the Gentiles.
To - the Covenant was made with the house of Israel.
Now I can agree with that, however the original intent of the covenant was to include Gentiles, as we understand that the House of Israel = sons of Abraham!
As the Covenant with Abraham has always included Gentiles, as Isaiah and Paul as well as Moses has clearly taught.
Thank you for quickly changing your position to that of truth.

1 Corinthians 10.32 refers to the three types of people in the world; so I would deduce the answer from these and other verses.

Spiritually, eternally we are one in Christ.
From a perspective of the natural stand point they are still Jews.
Are you still a female though you are saved by the blood of Jesus?
The answer is yes.
However, in the age to come that will change.
For in that Day, there will be neither male nor female but we shall be like the angels.
That is why I say spiritually, eternally.

Probably from G1486; a race (as of the same habit), that is, a tribe; specifically a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually by implication pagan): - Gentile, heathen, nation, people.
I am not a French-Christian, I am a Christian . The blood in my veins has zero bearing on my salvation. Some where way back I am 'told' I have Jewish ancestors. That blood does not save. His Blood is salvation. I am not a very slightly Jewish- mostly-French-Christian..

Actually, the word typically is used to identify anyone not Jewish. Paul used the term for Greek/Roman/Asian Christians.
