I'm not sure I agree with Webster's Dictionary with the definition of humble as not being assertive. I believe it is possible to be humble and still be assertive. We can see evidence of this in Jesus.
I humbly agree. I think Gandhi is a good example. He was very polite but also very assertive.

I secondly humbly agree to that
Many equate assertiveness with arrogance but they are not the same thing.

But maybe if used in the wrong settings?
Might be both depending on the setting.
I like the word assertive alright but maybe not mixed with pride..

I think that Jesus in many ways seems to me to be assertive.
Or a better word might be an authoritarian.

I can also find bits of Buddhism to seem good and sounding like the truth..
I would in my opinion not follow his teaching, as I believe it is a false path designed to be peaceful and resampling true Christianity.

Did used to like some different belief views. Like Buddhism.
I have come to learn and believing that these religions and belief systems are only lies sprinkled with small truths. But mainly are full of lies and deceit.
The worst ones (seems to almost always parallel the Bible and Christ.

Clearly made only for decieving as many as possible:sad((
Jesus is always ready to sett them and everyone forgiven and sat free! :)))

And being realistic I might be a 3 or maybe even a 4 ??

We don't know for absolute sure if Christianity doesn't have some lies in it. That's why we have a thing called "faith". We trust we are being told the truth.

I don't think that I can answer the question. Sure, I've had my moments where I felt like I was an 8 or 9 but other times felt like a 1 or even 0.8 or something. This may not be right to judge of ourselves?

Like for instance, I was in the trades and was taught that...no one is an expert at anything until someone else calls you an expert or master of the trade. The reality is that, there's always someone better and always those who are less.

Maybe this would have been a more accurate question if it were phrased, What do you see as the level of spirituality of...whoever. Someone else and not of ourselves. However, that would not be a good thread because if we were to start grading each other then there would be hurt feelings and contention amongst the ones who did not agree with your assessment of them or another.

So I guess my best answer is, I'm more spiritual than some, but not as spiritual as others!

Edward you are a real spiritual athlete. I might rate you a 7 overall. Is that fair?

Yeah I was into Buddhism. I rejected Reincarnation. The best thing we can get from Buddhism is meditation. It really can calm and anxious mind. Some of the teaching on suffering is debatable. Not all out suffering is our fault. Imo....

Fair enough Brother. I sort of thought that between 0.8 and 8 or 9 that would make my average about 4 or so. So that's kind of encouraging to me. :)

I'm sure we have members who (KNOW, Lol) that I'm at a 0.01 with some of the stuff I come out with at times, but that comes from the carnal membership and those who need more growth in Christ. I get enough feedback and agreement from respected Brothers & Sisters in Christ who agree with me on things for the most part, that it lets me know that these things are truth for the most part. Shows that the Lord is teaching these same things to others so the agreement helps establish truth.

Assertive is knowing how to express one's needs or desires without being overbearing, arrogant, or bossy. Too often I think people equate humility with being a push-over and that is just not true.

Who said I was a doormat? ?

Don't ever let anyone make you feel like you are inferior to them Edward...
