do you suggest the churches simply cease existing ?

My personal opinion is if churches are going to break laws intended to keep people safe, they should go the whole hog and open up as free hospitals for the poor and to be staffed by church members.
If they are not prepared to serve and care for those in real need they should obey the regulations.

As for those with no internet.
It might surprise you but it happens here in the UK.
Our solution was to ask for spare, unused, surplus mobiles to be donated the church set then up and they have been lent to members or they are invited into near by members homes ( we are allowed up to 6 people in a house )
That solves the internet problem and visiting a neighbor the isolation problem.

cant open a hospitak without the state or persons qualified not even my state .

that said nor can honestly say six feet per person in a middle class house without furniture .

the ,yet California is busting people having out side chuch and allowing crowded protests with no masks .six feet with a mask not just a mask .

Remember over the last few years I keep going on about how I'm going to live on a self sufficient boat. Well I never got the boat, it's just taking a bit longer time than I thought.

That still does not justify breaking the law. What sort of Christian witness is to meet breaking the law, disregarding each regulations and any possible impact on neigh etc just because you belief a right to worship is being infringed.

govt decides not God what is essentially for you..

if said pastor owned a reataurant or grocer ,you wouldn't see a problem ,food can be ordered and delivered .you don't need to eat inside, drink at a bar .you can enjoy it a home .

yet because politicians not doctors made these silly viral policies its for your good ,somehow those virus won't infect you in a bar ,a restaurant with that mask off but will if you are ib church out side in your car one parking space with windows up and you and your family .

No matter how silly it does not justify breaking the law.

Two things you and all those protesting this need to think about.

1, Jesus did not claim prevlidge or special treatment when he came here but made enormous sacrifices and we are called to be like him. Just what are we sacrificing for the good of others?

2/' many Christians around the world cannot meet publicly, they have small housegroup meetings or rely on online services, it is all they can get. Use these light and momentary troubles to pretend there really is perscution against Christians. How would you cope if every church was shut down, ministers arrested and if you protested you faced a beating, arrest, if arrested loss of employment etc etc

Here we go. They're starting to target Pastors and people of faith. In a time where the peoples of the world need these corporate prayers going up to God, a collective voice going up as one, to the most almighty source of power on earth or off of earth...but, that's a non essential service so you can't do that or we'll arrest you...

But Liquor stores are open. Abortion clinics are open. Those are essential services but church is not?! Something stinks with that. Scripture tells us to, not forsake the fellowship and gathering unto the Lord. Whatever happened to the separation of church and state anyway? Do you agree with the closing of churches or not? Here's the video.
My wife and I have not missed one Sunday since Covid shut everything down. We almost missed two weeks, but we found a drive in church. After that, we went to a church that a co-worker of my wife is the Pastor.
At that time, our Governor made it illegal to go to church, but the local Sheriff was not going to enforce it and honestly, I'd like to see him or anyone else try and enforce it. That would be the last election those people ever won. We simply outnumber the liberals in our county.
Now, do you want to know what I really feel? Ok.... Since you asked. I think this whole Covid pandemic is overblown. I'm not saying it's not real and I'm not saying people are not dying. It's a virus that we need to respect.
That being said, one size governing does not fit all. We need to identify those at high risk, pay them 3,000 a month to stay home and live in a bubble and for the rest of us, let us be and let the virus run its course with the healthy.

I've seen these outdoor services where the Pastor has a sound system and the congregation stays in their cars, but yet the police were sent in to break it all up. Many churches around here have gone to viral services online which is better then nothing as the word is still being preached.
Sounds like a lawsuit the county will not be able to win. Sue them, and win. $ is something they understand. If we let them take our religious freedoms away, it won't stop here.

I would continue disobeying their ant church laws and die .

you, seem to totally, miss that radios called short range can broadcast live and you see the pastor and hear him but not be close to him or his worship staff .

an example of said radio

yet you are telling us to obey those laws that really kill church, look you can't buy,a mobile cheaply and give it to a persom with it having internet access .no data for videos is what you get with a track phone .those are for the poor ,homeless.I helped a man whose life is like that .

we ought to obey God over man ,plenty of people in my churches range of help, are jobless .these attend my church .

"Congress shall make no laws respecting the establishment of religion or the free exercise thereof." 1st Amendment to the US constitution. The laws prohibiting church services are illegal.

scotus ruling has applied this to the states

What law is that? They have no leg to stand on from either a Spiritual aspect or a Constitutional aspect. What you seem to not realize is that our country's people have a different set of rules than you are used to over there. Our Constituion and Bill of Rights both speak clearly and tell us that Government can not prohibit the assembling of worship. No law shall be passed, da da da, is what it says. So they can make suggestions but that is all.

And Spiritually speaking, doesn't scripture say that we are to obey God rather than man? To not forsake the fellow shipping of ourselves together in worship? Uhh, I think it does. :wink
