How else would it be a better cover up the pederasty of his priests who mercilessly prey upon innocent choir boys?
I am going to go out on a limb and say that is at least past tense and not present. Call me naive, but I think the Catholic Church under Pope Francis, is trying to clean up its act.

See. I'm not the only one with controversial views.
But actually I like that Pope Francis can think outside the square.
We must look at what happened to Adam and Eve when they thought outside the square of God’s command not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. I believe that gay people deserve love and family as well. They just shouldn’t seek it in a same sex romantic relationship. We must always look to God’s Word for His guidance on what He wants.

I respect that pov, believe it or not. My view on gays is evolving and subject to change. At the moment, my view is probably progressive and aligned with the Pope.

I totally respect that. This is why I always ask God for clarity on issues that I question. It took time for me to fully understand some things, but God has been faithful to show me the truth. If we ask, He will not lie to us. He’s faithful to lead us to truth. We must remember that God does not condemn us for our struggles with sin. When we confess our sin to Him, no matter what it is, He looks on us with compassion. When Peter denied Jesus 3x, our Lord did not look down on Him. He had pity on Peter. How much worse was it for Peter to deny Jesus after walking with Him for 3 years, than it is for someone to be gay. I think it’s much worse than being gay, but God drew Peter back to Him with love. God wants to love gay people and give them a new heart. Just like He gave Peter a new heart.

God is God and His word has never changed and will never return back to Him void, Isaiah 55:6-11, so let's see what God has already said on this matter and let everyone make up their own mind.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man,
and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

That's assuming God actually wrote it. Which I am honestly not sure.
For those of us who are Spiritually born again and indwelled with the Holy Spirit hear and know His voice as God does speak to us through His word as the Holy Spirit gives us confirmation of all His truths. I can't expect you to believe this as it's something you have to work out for yourself as you develop a personal relationship with Him. It has nothing to do with whatever church one chooses to attend as it's all about us fellowship with God and His Son Christ Jesus as we allow the Holy Spirit, not man, teach us all truths.

1 John 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Obviously I respect the sacred messages of the Bible which clearly communicate "love". The messages in regard to homosexuality seem to represent a dismissive God who has lost his patience. Therefore I can't help but doubt their authenticity.

At like $40 a kilo for snapper fillets screw that. I was impressed when I went back the walf and the camper was suddenly gone and some random dude must have just been out on his boat and pulled up and gave a few fresh snapper to a couple of us who were on the dock, I kindly declined as I dont need it or want it even I could have just passed it on to someone else , I either catch my own fish or I know enough people can get some anytime I like and I already had heaps of smoked fish and fillets from the other day. I'm not really a big fan of eating too much fish.
You must be healthy if you eat fish every day.
Do you make and eat raw fish,
?

I don't eat much fish at all. Sometimes I make marinaded fish or sushimi.

I cut the fish in small chunks and squeeze lemon juice on it, let it cook for a while, then I drain the juice and add coconut cream and all my other secret spices to soak in the flavours.

Thats marinaded

What's the pope up to these days?
I haven't met him for a while. He used to come over to my house every Friday night for a few beers and fish and chips. But he got busy recently. I think he is in the Vatican at the moment.

If it is any consolation, conservative Catholics are rejecting Pope Francis too now. They want him out. He is too vague for them. He doesn't clarify what he says. But some of that criticism is because they prefer conservative popes like Benedict. They actually want a very "legalistic" Pope imo. Francis is too much like a hippie for them.

Pope Francis clarifies that he is advocating for a Global religious order.

Assumption: Every word and verse in the Bible is the word of God. If he didn't say it directly, he gave it his seal of approval.

If you fully accept that assumption, that the Bible is without error, and every single word is from God, just look at the consequences of that.
You don't have to read any other book. It is your sole authority . You don't have to entertain any other possible authority. You can put all your eggs in one basket. You've found the truth! Discernment?? Not so important. Just read the Bible yourself and the truth will be revealed to you.
But then chatting to other Bible readers, you discover that verses have more than one meaning . Other people have their own interpretations. "The truth" seems to vary according to your point of view.
But still you maintain the Bible is your sole authority. No need to think anymore. Just quote verses. In that way, God is talking, not you.
