I wanted everyone to get an idea of who visits - views our site and how many times they have viewed.

The report shows the country and how many visits to the site each country has visited within the past 7 days.

It's pretty sobering when you think about it.
Google Anaylitics is pretty awesome. Last night we had 3 members on, but over 30 guests from around the world. The Analitics allowed me to see exactly which threads they were viewing.

Our database is 11 gigs.... that's a lot of content that's been around for a long time. The threads that have tags will get viewed more than the ones that are not.

what is a tag?

is there something we should do to put tags on our threads if we will get more views?

how do we tag our threads?

how do we know what to tag our thread with?

Tags are thread descriptors that can be used in our search engine to find related topics. Web crawlers also search for tags to help catagories content.
On my phone, I see what looks like a paper tag that you might see from a dry cleaner. It's to the right of the thread title. I'll add a tag "around the world" for this thread. Feel free to add your own tags!

That's a really good idea don't get me wrong, but just one problem with that, not everybody feels comfortable with sharing that bit of information.
