Okay so we just got the power back after an ice storm. The outage lasted from Saturday night/Sunday morning until this evening, Christmas Eve, in this part of Canada; the US from Michigan to Maine was also affected by power outages.

We had lots of (cold) adventures. :)

Now we can concentrate on Christmas again, as we remember the wondrous birth of the Saviour.

Blessings.

A lot of the outages locally were also because of falling trees.

We only just got connected again; we have been 15C below.

Up here the power lines seem to be above ground. There is an awful lot of Canada, for all the lines to be put underground, I guess... :)
same here . it can be done. my city has done it for some time. its not done fully but all new homes are to have that. they have about 40% of the grid underground.
