Again, standard disclaimer, those of you who spend a lot of time in Apologetics and Theology already know this, so feel free to ignore me!!!
One day several weeks ago I was looking on the local SPCA website for a companion for my chihuahua. Well I saw this little 14 year old pomeranian on there. I thought, who on earth put a poor old dog like that in the pound? That dog deserves to spend her remaining years with a loving family. So I tried to convince my mom to adopt her, since she loves pomeranians and has never had one. But she said, No, I have too many dogs already. I offered to pay half the adoption cost and even share the dog (I rent the basement apartment at my mom's farm, she lives upstairs). She still said no. Well, I immediately prayed to God, "Lord, PLEASE lay that dog on my mom's heart!". Well, I repented immediately b/c I was praying MY will. So I said Lord, if it be your will, please lay that little dog on my mom's heart. Well like two days later, one of my mom's dogs went missing when she was visiting my brother's house which is on some land. Three different people searched for that dog day and night. Well, my mom and ended up at the pound and saw the little pomeranian and fell in love with her. The lady that worked there said, If you'll adopt her adoption fee and I'll pay for her dental work.(I had thought it was two different women who offered to pay but my mom said it was one) Now between those two things, it was going to be like $400.00!!! Now that DOES NOT JUST HAPPEN. People do not just shell out hundreds of dollars so you can adopt a dog. That has the fingerprints of God all over it! "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart". Well, that is exactly what God did. He knew it was my heart's cry for that little dog to have a home, and now she does! Well, my mom's other dog was still missing for like 5 days. I had felt I needed to sow a seed for her but didn't think I could afford it. Well, it turns out I did end up having some extra money. And after 5 days of the dog being missing it was not looking good. So I sowed a seed into one of my favorite ministries, and the very next morning my mom found her dog! So the pomeranian got a great forever home and my mom's dog is back safe and sound! What a GREAT GOD we serve!!!
