I would like everyone to lift up my daughter in prayer. We are going on the 14th of this month for some tests for her heart, she has the same condition that caused her dad's death. Just pray that the Lord will help her trust in Him, give her faith and comfort, and ultimately that He would heal her. Thank you, and the Lord bless all of you.

Dear sister~

This request of yours I know has been carefully heard by your Heavenly Father before I add my prayer... For whose prayers are more earnest and fervent but those of a righteous mother persistant before Him? Yet i add to you my own bended heart for your precious girl.

Father in heaven~ You are "Jehovah Raphim"~ The Lord our Healer, You have known this would come into the lives of Your own daughters before You formed them, for are not all our days recorded in Your Book?

Then Lord~ incline Your tenderest mercy and gracious ways to them now~ May You heal before they even arrive at the appointment, if this be Your purpose. May You perform a work of Might to show forth Your power and strength in the minds of mankind. Be adorned in Your glory Father, and make Your power over the little feeble lives of Your children be known in this day!

Let both mother and daughter and every member of their family be resting in Your sure mercies, knowing You guide every man or woman who ministers to them, for they are bought by the most precious price... Give them freshly, Your Holy Spirit as the great Helper, to remind them of the hope they share in Jesus through-out this night and into the new day.

let Your skill be imparted and Your discernment be given these men and women who do the work of medicine. Foremost as always Father~ bring a good strong witness of Your presence to those who are in darkness. For You surely are a VERY present help in times of trouble. Let Your loving heart embrace Your children closely Lord. Guard every minute of the way for them for only to You~ do we look for all things~ :heart

In Jesus name I pray. :amen

Arianna and your family will be kept in my prayers. The worry and anxiety of it all can really become a burden as we learn to continually put our faith in our Father above while keeping a keen eye open to the things around us so we don't miss his answers.

I can't think of anything more precious to a mother than her daughter.

Can I ask what type of heart condition?

Thanks everyone for your prayers! The Lord has blessed us. Ari's heart has had no changes so far, even though she has grown quite a bit. I am praying that God will simply heal her if it is His will for her life. I was actually waiting today for the doctor to say that her valve was in perfect working order, but it was not God's will. I know she is in His hands. He was so good about relieving our stress, and she actually had a 'fun' time at the hospital today. :biggrin Thank you all again. It was good news, very good news, for us, because things aren't worse. I felt so blessed today as the doctor was able to look at pictures of her heart and know exactly what was going on. So neat, and such a miracle to see it beating on the screen. Amazing.

Jeff, she has Aortic Stenosis: bicuspid valve. She, or we, should have a tricuspid valve at the aortic valve which opens to allow the blood flow from the left ventricle and exit the heart. For now, she has an obstruction (her valve shape prevents a good flow) that causes the blood to pool, which needs to be watched (Shaun's actually burst), but then later it will turn into a leakage (The bicuspid closure may pull apart so that it doesn't connect at all), which may cause her to need a valve replacement. Thanks for asking.

Again, I can't thank you all enough for your prayers. The Lord bless you.

Thanks for the update Tina.

I also have BAV with mild stenosis and moderate regurgitation. The tissue disorder has traveled up into my Aorta which has created a root aneurysm which currently measures 4.1 cm where the root attaches to the valve. @ 4.5 cm I'll be talking to the Cleveland Clinic for valve replacement and to have my artery repaired.

Has she ever been in for an MRI or a CT scan? If she doesn't have an aneurysm, there is a good chance she can have the valve replaced without them having to do open heart surgery. They can actually go through the side of the rib now which is really cool. Many people, and some that I've met actually live better, healthier lives after surgery and some of them even run full marathons with qualifying times for Boston!

I know that it's scary to think about heart surgery.. trust me, I know, and I'm sorry that your daughter is going through this.
If your looking for some support from some really smart, caring people, here is another forum that I belong to, although I haven't been there for a bit. They have helped me to better understand heart disease while giving me inspiration that life does go on after valve replacement.

God bless you and your family Tina,

Jeff

Jeff, thanks so much! I will check out that site...you are the smart and caring one, and I appreciate it so much in you. There is a hospital in our area that performs the replacement without opening the heart, but her doctor thinks we should just wait for now....I just found out about that procedure a week ago, and I am so glad.

Thanks for your responses everyone, the Lord bless all of you.
