Update: I was approved to work as a sub in my County and today was my first day filling in for a teacher in elementary school. Phew! It was a mixed bag - some really sweet kids and some difficult kids. Overall they were very hyper but I think that's standard when the regular teacher is out. I was able to work with some of them one-on-one which was fun and I held my own without letting them walk all over me.
I think each class and grade level is going to be different.
I'm completely exhausted already and 2nd guessing this choice. I am going to see this through for now and see where it takes me. Maybe I get better with practice and end up with a position in the right school or maybe I end up trying to get back into my prior field.
More prayer for guidance, patience and open doors would be appreciated.
