1. There is a young newly wed couple at our church and they recently had a happy, healthy baby. Last night the father was in a bad car accident and he was thrown from his car. From what I am told, he had a branch go through his shoulder and doctors had to go through his ribs and back to remove as much as they could of it last night. He still has a pulse in his arm so they are hoping that he will be able to keep his arm. He broke his skull, femur, hip, and multiple ribs. They also were able to put his hip back in its' socket last night through surgery. His hip is so crushed that he's going to need a hip replacement...he's only a kid :sad they were telling his wife that he may never wake up and everything, but after one of his surgeries he was moving fingers and was responsive. He is supposed to undergo another surgery this afternoon. Because of COVID, he can only have one visitor for three hours per day. Kind of difficult when it's divided between his parents and his wife, I'm sure. He's got a long road and is still in critical condition. Pray that he moves forward and makes a strong recovery.

Sounds like God is already moving in his life with healing and blessing. I believe He will cause this horrible tragedy to work out for his good, as only He can.

Praying.

I have a few prayer requests:

2. I've been taking a hiatus because my husband and I are struggling. We've been trying to get into dentists to get help for our children's mouths. When I was pregnant I was taking medication that I had been on for years to control my own health problems and I'm afraid it did damage to their baby teeth. The new teeth our older child has coming in are looking a whole lot better than her baby ones. Our youngest is having issues and she's only a toddler, they are wanting to crown every single tooth under general anesthesia and I'm terrified to death. My older child they said one crown and a ton of fillings...but I'm not convinced she has that many cavities. We're looking for a second opinion (if we can get one in time...dentists are booked up and unfortunately, insurance probably isn't going to pay for a second opinion) because we are sure not all of her teeth are that bad and don't need a dentist that is going to only milk the state medicaid insurance at my child's expense. She does need some of her teeth fixed, that's a sure thing, and I am so scared about all of this. I don't have a good feeling about it, but it does need to get done so she can continue to have teeth to chew foods with. I'm so scared that my child won't survive this or won't wake up and I'll be one less child for Christmas...I'm broken inside. I've been so stressed...trying to S
Sorry to hear this. Will pray for your both requests.

I have been going back and looking at my threads since I pretty much forgotten most things posted before January 2021.

Here's the updates:

-The young man that was in a bad car accident has been seen back at church. If you take a look at him, you'd never guess he went through all the surgeries, recoveries, and physical therapies. God has healed him well. He has a job offer from another state, but because of weather conditions, I'm thinking this might affect the ability to move right now. It's amazing he's already looking to get back into a job after his whole ordeal.

-My daughter had her tooth procedure done. As heartbreaking and tough as that all was, she did well throughout the whole thing. The anesthesiologist was great, caring, and gladly answered questions. Recovery was difficult for a few days. The good news is her teeth aren't bothering her, she doesn't have the toothaches, she can sleep better and she has been excited to eat more foods. Thankfully, she's been picking up the pounds more easily (and in a good way).

-My daughter's arm was totally fine. Within a few days of having it wrapped, she bounced back. No hairline fractures developed and for that we are incredibly thankful.

We are glad for this third party testing we did for food sensitivities and to check for nutritional deficiencies and found that my youngest has a calcium deficiency. We are working to help her get her calcium levels up and that makes so much sense, but I wish I would've known it a lot sooner before all the damage was done.

Thank you for prayers, they have all helped pull us through.
When we went to filtered water, we found out we were missing out on crucial minerals/electrolytes. Instead of going back to tap water we drink mineral water. What I'm getting at is that I heard a deficiency in certain minerals/vitamins can lead to the body not efficiently distributing calcium correctly throughout the body. I think it was a magnesium deficiency that caused this. I'll try to look it up again.

I have heard of filtered water not being the best because it's more acidic than alkaline, but at the same time...the other options are few. Alkalized water is expensive to buy for everyone to always have some. Mineral water that would be affordable for all of us, I'm not sure where we would be able to buy. For electrolytes I usually have coconut water or some citrus and salt on hand to add when needed :)

Deficiencies really mess you up, but everyone in my family has a deficiency of some kind. We're actively working on it, but it will take some time to get up back up to speed. Not to mention other gut issues that need to be solved, too, to help with absorption.

Teeth generally need calcium, magnesium, vitamin D, and phosphorus as the key ones. Our kids have calcium deficiencies, but also I was taking a medication throughout the entire pregnancy and I'm sure that didn't help things because that medication is known for sapping nutrients from the body. My oldest has permanent teeth that are looking great, thankfully, and hopefully that'll be the case for our other child, too.

There was also a key factor I was missing for my own teeth that I have been struggling with. I was trying everything, but I have had teeth that were crumbling apart. I don't have calcium, magnesium, or phosphorus deficiency - I have an iodine deficiency and a vitamin D deficiency. When I am able to supplement iodine, I feel like a million bucks and my hair isn't just breaking off at the ends in chunks anymore. Just wish we would've been tested for deficiencies much sooner.

I need to look into iodine. Thanks. Blessings for you and yours. Praying for you and your family.
