Wow Tessa, I do believe that this is the first time that you ever started a thread, nice one! :biggrin Anyway, it's time for me to take a trip down memory lane. On my honor I will try to serve God and my country, to help people all times, and to live by the Girl Scout law! (even though I haven't actually been a Girl Scout in years.)

Thanks, I know. That's what I keep telling myself when I start to doubt and that's the only one I really knew right offhand lol. Anyway, I had to tweak my first promise because it's been so long that I accidentally got the first part of it wrong lol. But yes, there's no doubt in mind that Jesus has entered my heart now. He is the true reason for Easter and Christmas and the only way to Heaven no matter how you believe it He is and thank the Lord for His wonderful, loving, and unselfish sacrifice.
 
I have another promise if it's alright to post another one. I'm starting to take my own advice about knowing that when the mind starts to doubt it's just the devil trying to trick me into thinking that I'm not saved. For luckily for us God knows our hearts and we are saved by what we know to be true in our heart not what we think and feel in our heads. For God tells us that He will never leave us or forsake us. Romans 10:13 For Whosever shall call upon the name of Lord shall be saved.
 
Psalms 91 is my favorite. It's full of so many promises of God.

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

Promises for Saturday

Matthew 28:20 NKJV

..... and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Jesus is with us always what a promise.

Luke 10:25 - 28 NKJV

25. And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
26. He said to him. "What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?"
27. So he answered and said , "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbour as yourself.'"
28. And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live."

Then Jesus told the parable of the Samaritan. Who shows that all we meet are our neighbours. If we do this we shall live!!!
 
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. —EPHESIANS 3:20–21

Amen to that!
 
Colossians 1:21,22 NKJV

21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

22 In the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight -

How great is the Lord's love and forgiveness, and how thankful we must be. All praise and glory to the Lord Jesus and the Father.
