there is an "event" on Facebook encouraging people to "touch boobs" for a week supposedly in aim of raising awareness of breast cancer... all this is is a disgusting misuse of a serious issue to make light of people's perverted and disgusting ideals and behaviors... i have already reported it (each Facebook member can only report it once) and it is still there perhaps if enough people report it it will be taken down? please, fellow Christians and all who respect good wholesome values and respect and modest behavior go to the "event" and report it. (the report button is down a bit on the right hand side if the screen.)

yeah yuck doesn't even begin to cover it... thanks Nick i hope if enough people report it this will be shot down and taken off but it seems facebook have fairly screwed up ideas of what's acceptable treatment / discussion / images of breasts etc they jump on photos of mothers breastfeeding their babies and even deactivate the woman's account and then they allow something like this to happen... it's beyond disgusting...

It really seems with Facebook, you have to be very proactive. I've adjusted my setting with friends that pass on such information or groups so I don't have to view them. I've even un-friended a few of them. I'm not really not into FB as much as I once was. Is this an advertisement or is it a group that a friend joined? I agree with both of your views.

Thanks for reporting, Amylou.

I don't have a facebook or any other social networking account outside of this site and a couple of technical sites. :shrug

Ummmm.......I'm confused??? What exactly is the problem with this supposed 'disgusting' facebook awareness promotion?? I can't even see what would stem such negative comments even in the most conservative of people?? Honestly someone please tell me what is wrong with this group that states it's purpose as follows.

This group is for all the survivors, the supporters, the family, the friends of anyone who has had breast cancer.

Also, this group is for those who want to encourage others to touch their boobs. Can you think of an easier way to support Breast Cancer Awareness???

If you have any survivor stories, or if you want to give a shout-out to a survivor or to someone who passed, feel free leave a comment on this group!

INVITE ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS TO JOIN THIS GROUP!!! HOW AMAZING WOULD IT BE IF WE GOT ALL OF FACEBOOK TOUCHING THEIR BOOBS???

I assuming its the boob touching comment, but as it refers to one's own boobs and that is how the test for breast cancer is performed and this group would be encouraging regular tests, I don't see how this is taken in a negative way?

Correct me if I am looking at the wrong group. Here is the link.

Seekandlisten, that is a different group that you linked. Amy gave the link in the OP to the one she is upset about, and rightly so, because it is promoting touching other people's breasts under the guise of cancer awareness.

My bad, I missed that link.
