Black horse is a symbol of famine as the rider holds a pair of balances in his hands causing much famine in the world as many will not be able to afford to buy food and eventually starve to death unless they reach out to the beast out of the earth, Rev 13; 1 Kings 8:37-43; Romans 8:34.

John hears a voice that comes out of the midst of the four creatures in heaven describing what it will take to be able to buy a measure of food as many will not be able to afford a days wage in order to feed for their families unless they prepare ahead of time. God is speaking to us to be prepared for when this time of sorrow is increased during the end of days that we put God first before all things as God will supply our need, Philippians 4:19; 1 Kings Chapter 17.

Famine always follows after conquest of war when a Nation or a people is conquered and overtaken by a governed ruling power that follows after the ways of Balaam forsaking that of the way of the Lord and love the wages of unrighteousness, 2 Peter 2:15; Ezekiel 14:13 as we will see in a New World Order and it’s one world government that is even now being set up. The spoils of conquest and conquering often denotes possession of another’s property by looting and stealing causing one to be left with absolutely nothing. This is what this corrupt government will do as they will take out of the hands of the people what they need the most to sustain life.

The rider on this black horse is an antichrist governing authority revived from the old Babylonian nation that places great economic stumbling blocks in the economy. They will control all shipping, trading and distribution of merchandise around the world expediting exuberant prices on everything causing great economic disaster to the middle and lower class of people.

We rely on farmers for most of our food and truckers to deliver that food to market. When prices escalate, especially with fuel, this shuts down our source of food as the farmers will no longer be able to produce the food we need and the truckers will no longer be able to afford fuel to deliver food to market.

A penny for a quart of wheat and three quarts of barley is symbolic of what would be a days wage for many people in order to feed their families. With the economy crumbling many businesses will be forced into bankruptcy causing massive unemployment. Without jobs this will cause great famine to every family that will not be able to afford food. This is why it is so imperative to have faith and trust in the Lord who will provide during times of famine, 1 Kings Chapter 17, Philippians 4:19.

The oil and wine is not to be harmed as many true Christians that are monetarily rich at this time will be able to afford to buy and share with those who have not as God will use them to supply others needs during this time of great famine, Matthew 25:35; Philippians 4:19.

Since the traffic's slow on this site, I changed my mind. I will give the facts on Rev 6:1-8's horsemen.

Fact #1 - Hell that followed with the 4th horseman is the 5th horseman, just like the beast kingdoms in Dan 7 are 5 kingdoms and not 4.

Fact #2 - The 5 horsemen are the 5 beast kingdoms in Dan 7 because they are the 5 fallen angels, the 4 fallen angels released from the Euphrates river and the Beast from the bottomless pit.

Dan 7:17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

Fact #3 - The 5 horsemen are the horns that exalted themselves and scattered Israel in Zec 1:18-19.

Zec 1:18 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
Zec 1:19 And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.

Fact #4 - The 5 horsemen in Rev 6:1-8 are the chariots and horsemen in Zec 6:1-8. Notice the parallel in chapter and verses and in the horses' colors. There are 4 different colors mentioned in Rev 6:1-8 and five in Zec 6:1-8. The parallel colors are the red, white, and black horses. The pale horse in Rev 6, the grey, must naturally be the "grisled" horses in Zech 6, and Hell in Rev 6 must be "bay" horses in Zec 6, the horse not wholly red, black, white, or grey, the natural colors in farm animals; hence the bay is the spotted or speckled animal who's not wholly the 4 main colors.

Fact #5 - The 5 horsemen in Rev 6:1-8 are the angels released in Rev 9, when the 5th and 6th Trumps sounded, the seals, trumps, and vials being simultaneous events. They're also the plagues that were released during the Exodus.

Fact #6 - The first seal's rider was Alexander the Great, who rode a white horse and carried a bow, the founding and first King of Greece, the goat with the great horn in Dan 8.

Fact #7 - The second seal's rider was Nebuchadnezzar, the first king of Babylon. The great sword given to him was God's sword:

Eze 30:24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
Eze 30:25 But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.

Fact #8 - The third seal's rider was Cyrus, the first king of Persia/Media, and the scales in his hands represent the shift from God's scale and measurement system to the talent of lead lifted up in Zec 5:7 and the mystery of the two women and the Ephah.

Fact #9 - The fourth seal's rider was Augustus Caesar, the first king/horn of the Roman empire, the first of the 10 "horns" on the fourth beast kingdom in Dan 7 and in Rev 13:1, they being the same beast kingdom of Rome.

And last but not least, Fact #10 - The fifth horseman was the 11th horn on the said fourth beast kingdom of Rome, which is the 5th beast kingdom in Dan 2:41, the feet of iron mixed with clay, the 2nd beast kingdom in Rev 13:11, aka the false prophet!

Daniel 7 does speak of four kingdoms.
1. vs. 4 A beast like a lion with eagle wings
2. vs. 5 A beast like a bear, raised up on one side, with three ribs between its teeth
3.vs. 6 A beast like a leopard with four wings of fowl and four heads
4. vs. 7, 8 A fourth beast , with large iron teeth and ten horns.

Below is that of the seven remaining nations described as four beasts in Daniel 7:1-8 and the three kingdoms that were subdued by the little horn, which is the Roman Empire.

The three kingdoms that were subdued by the little horn of Daniel 7:24 are the Heruli, Vandals, and Ostrogoths who were eliminated by the year 538 AD under the leadership of the Eastern Roman Emperor Justinian whose deadly wound came in 1798.

Seven remaining nations that still exist today:

Babylonian Empire:
(Iraq) The lion represents the winged lions that guarded the royal places of Babylon. This Empire ran from 2000BC - 1759BC

Medo – Persian Empire:
(Iran) The ribs of the bear are part of the consuming greed that devours the first empire. This Empire ran approximately from 536BC - 330BC

Grecian Empire:
(Greece, Turkey, Syria, Egypt) Four wings of the leopard described the swiftness of this empire that ran from 334-331BC. It wrestled world dominion from Medo-Persia. After the death of Alexander the Great the kingdom was divided into four minor kingdoms that continued as prominent factors in world politics until the Roman Empire gathered it back as one kingdom.

Roman Empire: (little horn, Daniel 8:9-14, 23-27)
Iron represents the stronghold this nation had. Daniel chapter 2 mentions the iron element of this empire that it to will be divided and broken as God will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.
This Empire ran from 753BC -27BC
