sailor meets captain once again-
the suspense thickens
ambience becomes the mission
of the wreck, lost at sea
twilight awaken, to dissonant rememberance,
from a lonely vessel, who dreams of peace
tossing, turning to imagined drumbeat at midnight
insomniac of soulish realm
unforceful terror rains on the grace parade
and all it can claim is unfruitful silence
until the trumpets of majesty signal Him
rise like a living legend to save the day
the clash inevitable but foolish begins
there's no way the underling can win
thoughts swam through the sailor's mind
wind flew in the sails, but peace was still
what was the captain's newest lesson
for some reason, wins misunderstanding
lack of knowledge claims its victim
in the sea of winds, wolves, and timultuality
somehow manages to cripple ships
victim wants to sail in the sea of life
investigates the ways of its being
see, smell, touch and feel understanding
ask, learn, feel what is the real tale
gain in their heart what is the true truth
answer the valley of the soul
let me come out of the imaginary stoop, pedestal
of the wise who know nothing but the commonality
don't look past concrete 4= 2+2
an odyssey, true quest
will the hero, heroine conquer the seas
as the sunlight fails and night takes its place
as the winds and tides receive
wanting there to be a common balance
waves not to grow or recede
while growing taller than it all
to grow beyond previous falls
for my head not only to be above water or the seas
but, must pay a price...
looking for the uncommon mysteries
while feeding the most common needs
as the bird is sent out to find land
the land of life, purpose and understanding
wanting, needing, praying for an answer
a way out of this pit
struggling to breathe, pressing for some common sense
while struggling to receive a breeze
maybe catch some relevance
to the heart, soul
whisper it to my dreams
but let me wake with understanding
let not the seed fall fruitless, grow and be a witness
to the lost who know no better
like me, a sinner who strives to live life in your good standing
as the clouds finally give way to understanding
as the tables have finally been set
you finally send your gift the little bird back
love, grace, understanding, peace, forgiveness
as the captain lets out his hand to accept
a new soul has been kept
an old friend has returned to understanding
new grace felt, new chance, love, acceptance sent
seed grown and kept, hope for soul's still kept
as we land shoreside, to your love and grace
majesty fills the air once again...
for others no answer is true
but for me, the sailor said, truth is you
no big bang but marvelous wonder
only the doorstep to who's truly you
accepting the divine intervention
understanding gained for some
heading back out to sea to tell others of your invention
love, grace, mercy, while true understanding has not yet been won
or is it acceptance, your existence
pray for my safe return as I sail the seas
of acceptance and misunderstanding
but no worries, cloak, shield, and sword in hand
the armor of God is on me, with me, as I fight towards land
hopefully the natives will accept me
as I accept them where they are
no need to fight or feel threatened, nor judged
but know I feel the need to help your heart
-forever, you will always be needed
your marvelous ways can't be comprehended
your love is the key to the lock of things untold
your love, mercy, grace, breaks any stronghold
of the simply complicated heart,
