Yes, the littlest ones in Matthew 18:1-4 are littles ones who believe in Him.


The sheep who becomes lost refers to a person who believes in Him, one of His sheep.


If someone becomes lost, they are considered a sinner in need of repentance.


The lost must repent in order to be saved.

I have learned the hard way to listen and heed the leading of the Holy Spirit, about what I listen to, what I watch, who I hang around, and where I go.

Let's let this subject drop.
You're rehashing old arguments... and trying to count the uncountable or measure the unmeasurable.

Everyone has been respectful and I appreciate that.
But you are also trying to change each other's opinions. (Which never happens)

Surely by now you understand the other person's opinion on this subject... after how many pages?

The one thing I hope we can agree on is, Jesus loves us and wants us, even when we mess up and wander away from Him.

If you want to close thread, then please do so.


The subject of the thread is salvation: a study of lost and found.


I believe it’s an important subject, because there are people on this Forum, staff included, that don’t seem to understand the subject of salvation or the word lost and what it means and how Jesus and His Apostles viewed the subject.


So if this thread is allowed to continue, then this subject will continue to be discussed.

The RSV translation doesn't have 'moreover' either. See Mt. 18:15 RSV.
Matthew 18:15
“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.

There is nothing in the RSV to suggest Mt. 18:15-22 is a continuation of the lost sheep parable.

Mt. 18:15-22 RSV is a separate teaching dealing with different subject.

Do you agree, in Luke 15:4-7 RSV, that Jesus teaches the parable of the Lost sheep, and in verse 7, explains what He means?

Do you believe the term heathen and tax collector refers to someone who is saved or unsaved?
