Now, lets get to the Salvation Fails.

And once again, they are >the substitutes< that seem right, feel right, and even use Biblical vernacular, but they are a deception, and Satan uses these to fool people into believing they have trusted in the Gospel, and instead they have been led into the pit, if they dont recover, or he uses these to have them "fall from Grace" after they are saved, and Paul deal with this in Galatians 1:6 - Chapter 3.
"Salvation fails", are any other teaching (false-another gospel) that substitutes itself for the Blood of Christ, The Cross, and God's FREE Salvation.
How do you discover them?
Very easy,.... first ,they are always a substitute , usually a scripture or a process, and they all have one thing in common......they demands that you DO SOMETHING to be saved or to stay saved, instead of TRUSTING and RESTING YOUR SOUL upon the Finished Cross-Work of the Blood atonement, that is given for FREE.
here are a few "salvation fails"..
1. Water Baptism.......this is the grandfather of all "salvation fails", because for many they have been taught all their life that water baptism plays a vital part in their salvation.....and this is a lie.
Its a horrible lie, and it is used all over the world to get people wet (as the gospel), and to leave them unsaved, lost, unredeemed.
There is no such thing as "water regeneration" of the soul., and to prove it, ask yourself this.... If i was baptized but i never believed the Gospel and trusted Christ, then am i SAVED?...am i Born again?
No, you are just wet, so the answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT, as you cant be born again unless you are forgiven and pardoned and redeemed, and that takes a CROSS and the Blood of Christ and your Faith all working together and thereby accepted by GOD on your behalf..
So the W-Baptism "salvation fail" misunderstanding is very easy to explain, and that is.......you are Saved by the Blood Atonement and you are baptized afterwards, because you are saved already.
See it?
The water FOLLOWS after the blood, the water is subsequent to being BORN AGAIN, but it does not replace it, nor is it to be combined as if they are EQUAL, and that is perhaps the way the deception gets the most dishonest traction.
I was saved 15 years obo before i was Baptized in water.

2. Keeping the commandments.....this is the "grandfather's of Salvation fails" self righteous wife, and is surely a "salvation fail". And this one is tricky, as to explain that you dont have to keep the 10 commandments, or any "law" found in the bible, is to SEEM to suggest that Grace is cheap, and that Salvation is some sort of free ticket to live like the devil.
And its the DEVIL that creates that very idea in many people's heads, and that is why they will fight and scratch and screech if you try to explain that Salvation does make you as righteous as God, but it does not make you free from the earthly consequences of your lifestyle..
The key to understanding the "commandment fail" is to think on this...
If my keeping commandments "to the end" can save me, then why did Christ have to bleed on a Cross.?
And once again, notice that "commandment keeping" is a substitute for the Blood Atonement, as all Salvation fails are substitutes for what actually saves you.... and you can hear this substitute in full throttle and read this as well when someone is climbing up a Christian Forum wall to try to prove that if you dont keep "commandments", then you are lost, and in this way they are showing you the gospel of commandments that they are trusting in to save themselves, instead of trusting in the blood of Jesus to redeem them and save them.

3. "good works"....... and here we have the devil's pet gospel...the gospel of good deeds.
And this "Salvation fail" is probably the most dangerous as it appeals the most to the widest audience.
In fact all religions use "good works" as their centerpiece to try to save a person or as the pathway to god.
However, Christianity is not a religion, its a restored relationship with God, through Christ...and that is why it does not use "good works" or "commandment keeping", or "water baptism", as the path or the way to find God or to be reconciled to God.
So, the gospel of works is the most effective gospel the devil uses against people, because this concept is based on real Christian discipleship that should follow salvation.....but its twisted and reshaped as the "Gospel"...but it isnt....its actually just a false means to create the idea that the goodness that a person does is acceptable to God, if we continue and strive to be good, with the idea that we are, in the end, going to be accepted by God, if we will just keep on being good and striving to be so.
And the way to understand what a complete "salvation fail" this is, is to think of it like this...
Compare yourself as a human and your good works on your best day, to the Sinlessness of Jesus Christ.
How do you measure up Oh Ye Christian?.....How do your best works on your best day measure up to Jesus Christ? ...and that is why HE pays for all your sins, as He is the only Sinless One who has ever lived on this earth, and who died for you to pay for all your sins.
So, do you see why "good works" are a "Salvation Fail".
Its because you can never measure up to JC, and they will never substitute for the Cross.
Its impossible, and this is why you have to have HIS Righteousness, as yours is no good, as compared to His.

4. "Faith fail".......Ok....now here is "tricky" #2.....as this Word, is associated so closely with Salvation that it is often SUBSTITUTED for Salvation and believed wrongly, and thereby fails in its wrong application.
The issue, the misunderstanding, is that someone believes...."because God accepts my Faith and saves me, SO Then PART II = then if i keep my Faith i stay saved"......So, this is fallacy.....and what has happened is that there is confusion that has not understood that Salvation comes instantly "by Faith" and is not a process of justification, but IS eternal, and is not something that you maintain by effort through confessing sins and trying to obey the commandments while you are doing good works.....and if you dont..... your faith is dead, and you are lost.
Well, thank GOD this is ridiculous nonsense. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
See, there is no Part II to salvation, there is no born again Part II,... there is only God saving you through Christ, and that is "not of yourself"... Ephesians 2:8.....because that is a ONE TIME event. (Born Again).(once)
You are only saved once, as you are only Born Again once.
See it?
So, do you see how it can be???? that all the "Salvation fails" can become united under the idea of "Faith" that has not been understood in the proper context of "Grace through Faith? Ephesians 2:8
All saving Faith does, is RELEASE God's Grace-Salvation on your behalf., and the result of this is that you become Instantly and eternally justified, sanctified, redeemed, adopted, and in all these, you are just as righteous as Jesus, or God could not accept you, and would not.
And this happens only once, as you are born again, only once.

Fine. And what do we do after we're born again?
  1. Get baptized
  2. Keep the commandments (at least Jesus' two commandments)
  3. Do good works
  4. Keep the faith
Do these things save us? No, because we are already saved. Yet that can be difficult to accept when we are aware of how unfinished we seem as new creations. So it is easy to think we can't be fully saved until the end. I don't believe this doubt damns believers. If this doubt incentivizes believers to live more Christlike lives, then it may even be part of God's plan.

I agree for the most part, if water baptism is taught from John 3 and is misrepresented.

Born of water and Spirit is not a reference to water baptism.

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3:5

However we must never teach that any Baptism is not necessary.

Jesus said -

Those who believe and are Baptised will be saved. Mark 16:16

Peter also -

There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
1 Peter 3:21

What you wrote is exactly the point of my Thread(s).
As there is a great confusion among believers regarding salvation which is earned by JESUS on a Cross and is given to us , by faith as a completed Salvation that we do nothing to keep, as its a finished Salvation (It is Finished, Jesus said on the Cross), and its applied to us, and perfects us forever, in the sight of God.
This is the revelation of the grace of God that was given to PAUL by JESUS as the Church was entering in to the "time of the gentiles".
So, the transition from How God was formally dealing with the "house of Isreal" and THEN began to deal with the Body of Christ in the "time of the Gentiles", with Paul being the "Apostle to the gentiles", is the GOSPEL UPDATED from Acts 2:38.
Once a believer truly understands this, one they get this LIGHT then the new testament will open to them like a flower, but until they do, they will argue incessantly in their darkness about water and works and enduring to the end, and keeping commandments = as a part of Salvation.

Faith can be extended in a lot of ways "other than" faith in Christ. We can have faith in ourselves, faith in rituals/observances, faith in the constructs of "man" or "traditions" or faith in any number of other/alternative things, such as poisonous snake handling.

I might observe that all of the alternatives are not necessarily directed to or the same as simple faith in Christ, but in other constructs that posture themselves as alternatives.

No matter how well any alternatives are constructed, they always include the "element" of DOUBT. And since it is relatively easy to fall into doubt, because we honestly doubt ourselves, it's an easy hook and an easy trap to fall into, that doubt, and seeking in various ways to "eradicate" it. I'll put up with such postures, to a certain point, which Paul directs to this point:

Romans 14:1
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

Romans 14:23
And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

1 Timothy 2:8
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

There is plenty of "doubt" in the churches today. Way more than I am interested in entertaining. I have enough to deal with in doubting myself, which is more than enough without taking on someone else's doubts.

Lets quote the entire verse so that we dont confuse people into thinking that water saves anyone.

Here is the verse..:

""""He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned."""

Now do you see what damns the person?........Its the same thing that Saves the person., and this is why this verse has to be understood in its entirety or people will try to use half of it to prove that water saves you.
This is typical of satanic theology, where a person teaches half of a verse that ruins the context, by using only half as a pretext to try to convince someone of a heresy that they are teaching.

So, the verse says......."""He that believes."".......so that is the SALVATION part.........and following.......""and is baptized,"" and this is the discipleship or the works part that we are to do BECAUSE we are saved already by BELIEVING......and then the context of the verse is the 2nd part......"but he that BELIEVES NOT..shall be damned".......So, this is very important to understand as you are being shown something........You are being shown that water is not a part of salvation........and the way you know this by this verse is that you are TOLD what damns you.......and that is ......."BELIEVE NOT"......so, that is a Christ rejector.
So, this verse is loaded with some doctrine.......It tells you to believe to be saved....then to be water baptized because you ARE saved, ...and then the scripture draws the distinction between what does not save you, which is water, with what does... by saying that THE PERSON WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE, IS DAMNED........and that is why the water is not associated with that part., as its believing or not believing that God accepts to save you, and water is not a part of the actual process of salvation or damnation.
