Alright so here's the thing, news articles by the dozen keep popping up about how one day an asteroid is going to blow up the planet and going to wipe us all out like it did with the dinosaurs. The thing is that I don't think the Bible mentions anything at all about this. I think that it talks about earthquakes and volcanoes being the means of destruction and how the end of the world is going to be gradual. However, even though I am definitely proud of my faith, I know that it can't be proven or disproven and that's why it's called faith because it's what you believe in your heart to be true.




When it comes to science though it's a bit different than that because although science has been wrong before, they usually can prove that something is or isn't going to happen. I also believe that science and Christianity can both be right and back each other up. Like I believe God created the big bang and that He also set evolution in motion. I realize that a major argument that goes with this is then what about Adam and Eve? In Genesis 2:7 it talks about how God created man out of dust and then in Genesis 2:20-25 it talks about how God made Eve out of Adam's rib.




Here's my question though that I know that I've asked before on here,.. how do we know that Adam and Eve looked like the kind of human beings that we see today? They could have looked like apelike creatures or cavemen or something. None of us were around in the beginning of creation just like none of us were around when Jesus was born to know what He looked like. Sure we have our general ideas but none of us knows for sure and we won't know until we get to Heaven.




Anyways I'm sort of getting off topic a bit here but at the same time I'm not because the truth is that even though scripture doesn't mention an asteroid, it doesn't mean that it won't happen because of the fact that maybe the earthquakes and volcanoes will only be the beginning of the end and an asteroid will finish us off. In the end nobody but the Father in Heaven knows when it will be, and nobody knows exactly how it will take place until it does. Matthew 24:36

first, I dunno. An asteroid could hit us and there are craters where we've been hit by meteors before. What I wouldn't worry about is worldwide destruction.
Second for evolution and creation, my take on it is that God did just what it says in the 7 days recorded in Genesis. The key is that when the trees and fish and land etc were created it was all fully grown. Adam was created as a man not a baby. A tree in the Garden was a fully grown fruit bearing tree. So that explains to me why the Earth may appear older.

No they could not have looked like any other creatures than human beings, and that too perfect in every respect. Why? Because God said so (Gen 1:26):

While this is not stated as such, it is entirely possible that they radiated light, just like angels. Therefore it is only after they sinned they realized that they were naked.

Cows probably looked more like oxen, whales went through a lot of evolution and previously looked more prehistoric, birds looked more like dinosaurs, and I'm not sure about plants. They probably looked more prehistoric as well but this is all just speculating here. I'm not afraid to admit that a lot of the time I just don't know the answers.

Here’s what separates us from all other creatures on this planet in my mind.

According to the evolutionary theory, minor mutations happen, which we know to be true. You are an example. You say you have a particular disability. Is it really a disability or is it a mutation that could, in the natural progression of things, give you a survival edge over others in some small way? Maybe we are the ones disabled and you are a cut above!

Okay, so, over time those minor mutations, such as some color change for example, which turn out to be beneficial to the species’ for survival, gives them an edge and so they are able to pass it on genetically to their next generation. Over many eons, this pattern of mutation repeats and over time new species evolve that for some reason cannot procreate with earlier versions of the same. So there’s one problem in my mind. When did that happen and still allow the continued procreation?

Now here’s the big one. When you look at differences between various species of land animals, for the most part, the difference are quite small. But then look at the difference between humans and the other animals and there is a huge gap. Even when one looks at how similar we appear to the apes and chimpanzees, I have to question why only humans developed the ability to verbally communicate with such a largely different language capability. Why only humans are capable of developing such abilities as mathematics, reading, writing, architecture, art, music, the sciences, electronics, and so forth? Where is the four-legged animal that can have an intelligent and deep conversation with humans? Where is the animal that can build complex architectural structures? Where is the animal that can dream of the future? Unless we somehow developed all of these capabilities and more in an instant, there should be those creatures that are part way along that path. They do not exist.

Not all that certain of what you are trying to say but I always thought that God just got the idea for man from monkeys. As why evolution is no longer in motion as I said before I really don't know and God is the only one with all the answers.

Genesis 1:1-31 shows it took God six days to create everything and on the seventh day He saw that all was good and finished and rested on the that day, so no, no big bang theory as God spoke all into existence as He created the heavens and the earth.

God’s wrath is poured out into the world as chastisements for disobedience, but also a warning that man needs to repent and turn back to God before the door of salvation is closed forever.

Hail and fire can be likened unto meteors that fall from the sky. A third of the trees and all the green grass are burned up which makes a third part of the world with a shortage of oxygen in the air that is created from the carbon dioxide from the trees and living plants. Seeing that this is Global the intense fire and smoke from all the trees and grass burning can travel for miles causing much more damage throughout the nations. The trees that produce various healthy foods for our well being will become scarce. The green grasses that would probably include crops of wheat, barley, corn and so forth will be destroyed causing a shortage in food. The animals we depend on as a food source will also die as they are left without vegetation they need to live on.

This great mountain burning with fire could be another meteor or even a series of meteors sent down from heaven at one time, but on an extremely larger scale as the third part of the sea is destroyed along with sea life and the third part of the ships that sit in it. The third part of the sea turned to blood by reason of all the animal life that is killed and those men, women and children who are on these ships that are destroyed. Take into consideration the disease that would spread from all the rotted sea life that is rotting away washing up on the shore and the flesh of those who were burned along with the ships.

These ships will more than likely be types of fuel tankers, merchant, fishing and luxury cruises ships traveling the waters. With the third of these ships being destroyed means a third part of the world’s fuel and food supply would be destroyed. There is only one ocean, but divided by four regions as being the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean, and the Indian Ocean. This would be like the four corners of the earth as being North, South, East and West. The only difference between the ocean and the sea is that the ocean is much larger and feeds into the 108 seas around the world that also flow into our lakes and streams that provide us with fresh drinking water and other sources of food.

With the third part of the sun, moon and stars being darkened this will affect mans source of electricity and heat that is vital to keep a certain degree of the earth warm, and generated power in homes, hospitals and manufacturing plants including nuclear reactors.

Agriculture and navigation would be hard pressed as it takes the solar power from the sun to run the solar cells that produces the energy needed to run farming machinery and trucks to take the produce to manufacturing plants where the produce is then distributed to market.

Vehicles such as cars, ambulances, planes, trains and the list goes on need an energy source from the sun in order to run their engines. The darkness of the third part of the day would be roughly around eight hours of daylight being lost and total darkness of night as the moon and stars are illuminated by the sun at night. A flashlight would be useless to see in the dark as it needs energy from the sun to run the battery that turns the light on.

This much darkness would cause people to panic in the streets creating chaos as the love of many will wax cold, Matthew 24:12. Riots would break out causing looting and lose of life as those who have not will do anything in desperation to take from those who have much. IMO Marshal law will be enforced as we see history repeat itself with many Christians taken captive and die a martyr's death as they refuse to denounce Christ and take the mark of the beast.

When God said, Let's make man in our image, after our likeness, wasn't referring to a Ape, monkey, or any other creature.

I believe this earth age was created in 6 days, on the 7th day rested
I believe we are in the 2nd earth and heaven age.

The first earth and heaven age, was in Gen.1:1
Satan use to be a cherub during this time, guarding the mercy seat.
Satan rebelled and wanted to sit on the mercy seat, and took 1/3 of the angels with Him. The Overthrow..
God shook the earth, by His fierce anger, mentioned in Jer.4:23-27
Notice Gen 1:2 confirms the same.

It Gen.1:28 it states , replenish the earth.
How can you replenish something if it hadn't been full first?

In Gen.1:16, God made 2 great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser to rule the night..

How could that be according to Gen.1:3-5?

How do you know that there was a 'big bang'?

If God spoke and it was there is no need for a 'big bang'.

Jesus rose from the dead, yet if you ask your doctor, 'Can the dead come to life without outside medical assistence? He will say that it is not possible.'
Yet Jesus physically rose from the dead.
If God can do that can he not create in 6 days a universe etc.

How could there e a big bang afterwards when all things were finished and it was good. God rested on the seventh day of all that He created.
