Here is a very short bible study, find the Sr. Pastor and his duties in the bible and show me. I can tell this much you can't.

I believe all references to deacons and pastors and elders etc in the NT scriptures are fairly simple terms to describe overseers in the assembly who watch, guard, teach and judge the flock.

Nothing special. Nothing sophisticated and nothing like the religious heirarchy of the CC.

Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3 provide the qualifications for elders/bishops. . . which are different aspects of the same job - pastor. There is no mention of a senior pastor. Paul instructed Titus to appoint elders (note plural) in each city. There is scriptural foundation for a plurality of elders. Never a ruling body, but more than one. Scripture also talks about a multitude of counselors.

There is nothing wrong with having a senior pastor and several assistant or associate pastors. In many churches, one minister cannot minister or properly shepherd the flock.
