I'm mystified by people who want to trim taxes on the rich, and still build lots of tanks, planes, and ships. What is the plan to pay for all of this military hardware, and the salaries of soldiers? How can they build prisons to lock up terrorists without resources?

They are currently borrowing the entire defense budget. How long can that work? What is the long run plan?

Cowrie shells were widely used as currency in olden times. One nation used giant statues as currency. Gold, silver, and copper were frequently used in Bible times. Food, animals or anything that maintains its value. Doesn't matter what they use, as long as it maintains its value over time. Honest currency.

I am not advocating one system over another just an observation. In the World to come what will the system be? Everything is provided to everyone through a central body, in this case Christ. This of course men have tried to live under its called communism and just as our system is polluted by men so is that economic philosophy . Done by men we see neither system is good. Whatever system men come up with will always have the same problem, men. Done by Christ it will be perfect and it won't be the economic philosophy we presently live under.
 
im -definitely- not advocating communism. I'm more into...New Deal-style Democrat policies, 21st century "progressivism," I suppose. I just really like this article, which is why I posted the link. and...

you make a valid point, of course. there will be winners, losers, and lots of in-betweeners under any and all systems, this side of eternity. I just think what we have should be tweaked....fewer mega-winners, a lot fewer losers, more in-betweeners. and that is all. LOL.

i really need to post the why the new deal in the 30s didny work .I have places built by,the wpa one being the court house .the military saved ft.pierce ,the city forgo taxation and funded on utilities.ft.pierce idk but it had both water and sewer and power before my,town.
 
The very high majority of people live in a house and eat food yet it's still not enough to some people.

The homeless population in USA is about 0.2%. I would say that is a great figure and the USA is great. 99.8% of all people live under shelter and eat food. That's great.

There are also far more that are actually struggling for one reason or another. I try to use a little common sense but when in doubt I'll let God handle it if I'm wrong and accidentally feed someone's greed.

The only thing with many charities is it's just like any system, the cause only gets the crumbs. After the "charity" takes out all the expenses, some including fat salaries for there staff, only crumbs are left.

I can't see Christ advocating the accumulation of wealth upon His return. Too much power too much corruption. Corporate power rules Texas down to the local level including the copmafia. Politicians must be corporately vetted and funded or no-go. I believe Christ-centered communism will most likely be the economic model....if any as is most likely indicated by His followers views of economics concerning their little group's finances.......hard for money lovers to swallow....I know....I used to be a super conservative Republican with a right-to-carry and lifetime NRA membership.

Not here.

Salvation army is the only one that feeds at the level they do,the food bank is local ,as is the the source these feed or give out food .

A homeless person hanging out. With signs musr be vetted.many simply doing that are feeding addictions .they have been caught openly .if they need food .clothing ,medical attention we have charities for that ,clothing ,and medical can be worked in with them,up gives out bikes,clothing and teaches them to function again
