When the blood atonement is applied to a believer, this creates in them a "born again" spirit, and it completely cleanses them from sin...(washed in the blood of the Lamb).
Paul says..."Jesus who loved me and GAVE HIMSELF for me".... is the same situation for all believers.
In that very instant of "conversion" we are converted from "sinner" to Saith.
WE are converted from Lost to Saved.
WE are converted from unsaved human to spiritually born again Son of God.
WE are converted ("translated from") darkness to the Kingdom of light.
WE are converted from sinner to Sinless.
All this and more is what happens to all believers the very instant you hear the Gospel, trust Christ, and are born again.

Here is the beauty of being cleansed in the Blood of Christ and forgiven all your sins.

IT NEVER ENDS....
This means, that because Jesus has been judged and killed for your sins on a Cross, the bible says "he became sin who knew no sin".....then, you will never be held accountable for what Jesus has died for, and paid......which is your Lifetime sin debt.
Jesus already paid = you dont pay after you are dead.

So, in a twinkling of an eye, a person by faith trusts Christ after they hear the Gospel, and God sees their heart faith and instantly releases the blood atonement unto them and suddenly all there sins are gone, pardoned, and forgotten.....forever.
They are become SINLESS, exactly as Christ, as its Christ's sinlessness that IS "the Gift of Righteousness" that God has given them.
We give God our faith, and God gives us Christ's righteousness.
We trust Christ, and God saves us.
We are now SINLESS SINLESS SINLESS, as this is what Salvation once applied to us, does. And this is what Jesus was purchasing on the cross for us with His blood and death.
When He says..."it is finished-accomplished".. His is testifying to the eternal fact of what He has just created by His sacrifice... He has created the means and the way for us to become a Sinless Son of God, just like Him.

Now, there are 2 wonders about Jesus's accomplishment on the Cross.
From the moment of conversion, 2 things happen and continue happening for you, that last for as long as God lives.
The 1st is that the blood of Christ completely cleanses all your sins away and then continues to cover and cleans you of your sins.....it continues to keep you just sinless as it created you "in Christ" anew when it was first applied to you when you first believed... (redemption)(born again).
This mean when you were saved and until God stop living, the blood of Christ each and every second continues to keep you cleansed from sin., as that is the power of the blood and the power in the blood. = Hallelujah !!
You, if you are saved, ... you sins were laid on Jesus who died for them all, and His Sinless perfection (righteousness) became yours eternally, and THIS covering and cleansing of all your sins IS your current and eternal state of existence.= Hallelujah !

Here is #2.
When you do something that would be a transgression of the commandments and the law after you are saved....God does not hold you accountable because you "have been redeemed from the curse of the law". Galatians 3:13,... you are "under Grace" Romans 6:14.
This is the other reason that you remain sinless as the day you were saved right through eternity.
Look at this verse:.. Romans 4:8 :

"Blessed is the person whose sin God will never count against them"

So, WHO is that person, who sins, but God does not hold them accountable?

That is ALL BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS. = Hallelujah !

And Who DOES God hold accountable for a believer's lifetime of sins?........?
JESUS.... NOT YOU =
Hallelujah !!

So these two aspects of "born again"= keep you saved, sinless, and eternally secure.

Nice post....but I might add to #2....if you continue in a lifestyle of "sin"...whatever that may be....your salvation will not be lost but instead your "fellowship" with God will be strained. For example, if you're sitting in a bar each night on the way homw from work, trying to pick up the ladies...while wifey sits at home, I think God may have a hard time blessing that situation.

So now it is degrees ... and Kidron is sinless.. wow if one is sinless they dont need Christ
From what I understand you need Christ Jesus to become born again....and that happens only once....But, I was thinking we need Christ Jesus to walk with us through out our lives.

Then again your comment was kinda short and lacked substance....I hope I didn't read too much into it.

Gods Words says

1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1Jn_1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
That seems like an odd verse to post...are you sure of the context inwhich you posted it?
What does "If we say that we have no sin" really mean? Don't you think there is the possibility claiming "no sin" has a meaning for the lost while "no sin" takes on a different meaning for the saved?
Yes, I know the lost sin...and I also know the saved sin....I think you know this also, but the sins of the unsaved have not been imputed to Christ while the sins of the believers, all of them, have been imputed to Christ at the cross.

Do you think he meant...the wages of our sin (death) has been paid for at the cross?

i think He meant
1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

:confused2 try again

Ok, say i ask Wondering why he is working so hard to be saved, if Jesus already saved him.
And he says, '" because i have to keep the commandments of Jesus and hold unto my faith, or i will lose my salvation".

So, i say, but you are ALREADY SAVED.... its a DONE DEAL......and God does not require a Part II to the finished work of Christ that has redeemed you already..

Then Wondering says....."yes, i know im already saved, but NOW I HAVE TO DO DO DO DO DO, to keep it".

Kidron says....."face palm".

So, that is the endless loop that you find yourself dealing with when someone says they know they ARE SAVED, but then they say they have to do do do do do do works works works commandments commandments to keep it.

Because God has created redemption to keep us washed in the blood of Christ forever, and because God, (after we are saved), no longer charges us with our sins,...then this would seem to be a "license" to sin.
Romans 4:8

But here is the reality.....
Lets say....a believer comes to understand ....."Jesus saved me, my sins are gone, im as sinless as Christ, and God never again holds any sin i commit (works of the flesh) against me.
So, i guess then, i can do what i want !!!!!
No, not quite....
Here is the deal regarding being redeemed and become sinless and never again charged with your sinning, (works of the flesh).

IF a believer tries to use what 1 Peter 2:16 calls "Liberty", (which is the knowledge that we as believers are sinless and never again charged with our transgressions),.. IF a believer tries to abuse THE wonderful "gift of righteousness" by living in a habitual sinful manner.....becomes a habitual sinner.. .. Then Holy God who is a FATHER to us all who believer, will CORRECT this believer or any believer......And you can find this in Hebrews 12:6.

You might recall that Paul took a couple of strife causing church members and "turned them over to Satan for destruction of the flesh".
Remember?
That is Godly Correction of a child of God.

Paul wrote also, that if you, or me, or any believer develops a willful habitual sinning lifestyle, and wont stop, wont turn from this when the Holy Spirit convicts, and even after God corrects and corrects them or me or you, then we will Die EARLY.
So, you go home early, and you dont live out the completion of your life, is the final "correction" of your habitual sinning lifestyle.

So, YES< there are always consequences on the EARTH for sinning after you are saved.
Sometimes very long lasting, or even worse.
You can lose you family, your money, your job, your health, your ministry, your reputation, and even your very life, as the law of "sowing and reaping" is in effect on the EARTH, for all people, including believers.
And God will correct you down here...absolutely...that is a Father to Child relationship in effect.
Hebrews 12:6

However, all that correcting and sowing and reaping happens down here.
ONLY DOWN HERE.
And Never after you die, and this is because the judgement do YOU for YOUR sins and every believer's sins, have been already judged and paid for, by the Blood of Christ.
So because of this, you will never be judged for your sins, after you die.
But you will be corrected for them, if you persist in them, willfully, down here.

You bible NT says you are "under Grace and no longer under the law".
So, this is why Paul calls your transgressions that were previously "under the law" , "works of the flesh", as the Law, (when we were under the law) defined our transgressions of the law as "SIN", but now that we are no longer the law but under "Grace" our transgressions are no longer labeled by the Law as sin.
So, what was once called sins, Paul now refers to as "works of the flesh".
So, works of the flesh, are still unholy in the eyes of Father God who has forgiven us for Jesus sake.
Imagine this.........God is looking at a believer who is sinless because of the blood atonement, and this person is stealing money from his employer"..... God sees this now, as a "work of the flesh" and not a sin, as all sins are gone from this person..= The Cross.
So, God will deal with this person about this thing....(conviction)...and if this person continues to behave like this and wont turn from it, then God is going to literally physically correct this person, in some regard.... and, the correction will always last longer then the deed., as the deed is usually quick, but the correction has to correct them from this behavior and that means a PROCESS of "working the clay" to CHANGE THEM.
Its gonna hurt., and its gonna last long enough so that when its over, the person is corrected. ..... Hebrews 12:6.
So, just as you corrected your children, but would never get rid of them for their bad behavior,...So, God corrects us His Children for our "works of the flesh"....."lying, cheating, hate, unforgiveness, greed, fornication, lust, cheating on taxes, watching dirty cable TV and R-movies, porn, meanness, etc.".....all THAT STUFF, ......we get corrected for the habitual stuff that we wont stop doing....but we are never kicked out of the eternal family of God for these things.

Most Christians dont understand that upon being born again God LITERALLY become FATHER...."ABBA", and this is no different then our earthy fathers.....its that exacty type relationship....its by NEW BIRTH, its by BLOOD, and its Eternal...its PERSONAL, and God is not playing, as it cost Him his Son to get us back.

If as you said before Christians are sinless what what is there to be corrected of?
-
As i wrote to you........ you are corrected for your "works of the flesh".
These, before you were saved were called sins, because you were under the law and not under Grace, so the Law labeled transgressions as Sins.
So, you are now under grace, and all believers are corrected and pruned and "work the clay", by God the Father.
Some of this is correction for a certain habitual "works of the flesh" lifestyle that has to be changed, and other times this correction has to do with growing us up, and changing us more into Jesus, as that is the reason for all correction.
We are being "conformed into the Image of Christ", all the time, and so, within this conforming, is the correction.
Sometimes were are just simply lazy or weak in our character , in some part of it, so, God sends a situation that we endure, and upon completion, we are more like Christ and stronger and "remodeled" in this area.
Other times we are corrected in some area of lust or works of the flesh that is going to rot our lives, or harm others, if God our Father does not correct this in us.
