Does anyone know why the son of God was a sinner?
Could you be a bit more specific?
Adam was considered a son of God, as we're his direct descendants.
And then we have Israel, which were considered Gods son.
Of course, we have Jesus who is also Gods Son and for those who are in Christ, we've been adopted into the family of God, which makes us sons of God too.

Thanks! And welcome!

1 Peter 2:22 "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth."

Hebrews 4:14-15 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without sin.

I'm thinking you might mean this verse as some take it to mean Jesus was a sinner since God made Him to be sin for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

To be sin for us means that of God's plan of His salvation through Christ before the foundation of the world. Jesus was the Lamb of God through that of the sacrifice He made on the cross that all who repent and believe in Him are redeemed of the Lord and made righteous before Him by God's righteousness that has cleansed us in the blood of Jesus who paid our debt for sin.

Yes, so true.

And in line with what you said, here is another scripture that should be seen through Him “who knew no sin, God made to be sin”...

so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:28
