I wanted to start a conversation with scripture that shows the different sides of Jesus. When he was showing the Son of Man part of himself and when he was showing the Son of God part. I'll start.

Mark 5:30 At once Jesus realized that the power had gone out of him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?" - Son of God part

John 11:35 Jesus wept. - Son of Man

This conversation stems from another thread about Jesus doing supernatural things, but I wanted to add the human side of what he did also.

John 11:35 Jesus wept. - Son of Man

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
(Gen 6:5-7)

So the God part is like a Robot, no emotions. The human part can be sad and cry. I never knew that.

But let me tell you, when God had no choice but to destroy his man he made in His image and every thing that takes breath on the planet, it grieved him so much to the point He had wish he had not made man to avoid the pain he had to endure watching them gasp for air and drown. it grieved him so much that in the throne room there is a Rainbow to always and forever remind him of what he had to do, and promised to never flood the earth again.

wow.

Both of those Scriptures are the Humanity of Christ. His deity didn't need to ask who touched His clothes

One clue to look for.....

When it says Jesus did or said something........It was from His humanity.

When it says Christ did or said something.......it was from His deity.

Jesus= His humanity
Christ= His deity.

I think we are on the right track with this?

Like the scripture I posted "power had gone out of him". That is not power we have, it was his deity.

And when I posted he wept. I don't know if the deity part needs to cry? Brother Mike, does scripture before the New Testament show God crying? I understand the grieving part, but Jesus was weeping.

So, here is another scripture. John 2:11 This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him. - Son of God

I'm wanting for people to post scripture about Jesus and say if that was the Son of Man part, or divine part. They are equally important in the redemption narrative.

Luke 22:44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. - Son of Man

Hi lovethroughDove,
I thought I would just do some notes on the Son of Man first.

The Son of Man
-

`…the Son of Man has come to seek & to save that which was lost.` (Luke 19: 10)
`…the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, & to give His life a ransom for many.` (Matt. 20: 28)

Soon after Jesus commenced His ministry in public, He put forth this significant title, “The Son of Man.” This covers the widest range of relationship including all the peoples of the earth. It also has a great range of responsibilities.

Man through his rebellion became dispossessed of his inheritance & cut off from his relationship with God. The divine law that was given later says that, when land & life are to be recovered & ransomed, the benefactor who undertakes the case must provide legal evidence to prove he holds a close kindred relationship to those in adversity. Thus it is that the Savior of the world was manifested.

He came to `seek & to save,` `to serve & give His life a ransom.` He understood the enormous task of ransoming the earth from the control of the usurper & of redeeming man from the bondage of the devil & death.

`Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh & blood, He Himself shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil, & release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.` (Heb. 2: 14 & 15)

Deity part? needs to cry? It was Jesus Christ that came in the Flesh.

Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
(Ecc 2:17)

Isa_65:14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.

When the spirit of a man has sorrow, it effects his flesh. Jesus did not cry because His flesh felt bad. He cried because as the Son of God He was grieved He could not get them to understand.

The spirit part (What you Call deity part) needs something to shed tears with. Like eyes and tear ducts.

So God may not have shed a tear, but what he did not have in flesh to shed a tear with, He put a rainbow in his throne room as a reminder for all eternity how it effected him.

The anointing that came from Jesus rob that healed the Women with the issue of Blood was also not his Deity Part. That was actually the Holy Spirit on him, the Same Holy Spirit we have. I can promise, I am not God, and neither was Paul saying I can do all things through (The Anointing "Christ") that strengthens me.

I should not have gotten involved. It would take far to long to explain. Others will understand the same as you, have fun with them.

Be blessed.

Marilyn, this is definitely the summary of him being the Son of Man! Awesome.

Brother Mike, this is totally what this is thread is about. I am looking for the little things that Jesus did in his flesh that were flesh related and what he did that was a supernatural thing. Thank you.

Jesus is always both, sometimes it is easier to point out which part of him was being used in that moment.

Like the walking on water. His flesh was being used to do it, but that is a Son of God moment. I think?

So, If i lay hands on someone and they get healed, that would be my Deity part?

I think that would be God working through you.

So then How did Jesus do that? He do it any different than what you and I would have to do it? He did no miracles until John Baptized him and the Holy Spirit came on him. The Same Holy Spirit he promised to send us.

I wanted to make this about Jesus

yes, it's about Jesus, but what I am attempting to show you is that despite having power from the Holy Spirit and doing no miracles, He still was Jesus Christ that came in the flesh. Still the same person He was when the Holy Spirit came on him.

Your equating His Son of God status, with the Power of the Holy Spirit, the Same Spirit he gave us. He was always the Son of God in a flesh body that was far weaker than He had every experienced from eternity. He still kept His body in subject to himself though, perfectly.

So if He cried, it was not because his "MAN" part felt emotions. He cried because His flesh responded to his Son of God part wanting His People to understand.

The flesh responds to what is inside. John saying I wish above all that you prosper as your soul prospers. It's not the other way around, and inside that flesh was the Son of God.

Now why Jesus had to come and take the form of flesh and be a man, and not some other way would be way off topic and lots of scriptures and explaining.

Be blessed.

Hi LovethroughDove
First we must "define", " Son of God" and " Son of Man"

The Son of God
This title expresses the relation of the Son to the Father, ( Matt.1:20, Luke 1:31, 35) ; and of all those who are begotten of God, (1John 3:1)

It differs therefore from the relationship expressed by "the Son of man", which relates to " dominion" in the earth.

As the Son of God, Christ is "The heir of all things" (Heb.1:2), and is invested with "all power", and is the " resurrection and the Life" (John 11:25) , having power to raise the dead (John 5:25). As the "Son of man", all judgment is committed to Him in the earth (John 5:27)

The Son of Man

To the "first man Adam" was given dominion over the works of the Creator (Gen.1:26), Through the Fall, this dominion was forfeited, and lost, and is now in abeyance, no one son of Adam having any right to universal dominion., hence the unrest and conflicts between men and nations, which must continue until He shall come , Whose right it is to rule in the earth.
The "second Adam", " the last Adam" (1Cor.15:45), the "Son of Man" , to Whom all dominion in the earth has, in the counsels of God, been given, shall take unto Him, His great power and reign.

Your equating His Son of God status, with the Power of the Holy Spirit, the Same Spirit he gave us.

No, I wasn't. I think you assumed I was stating that somewhere.
Matthew 1:18 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. (Son of God & Son of Man)

Matthew 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. Son of Man

I see what your thinking. Jesus was a man in a flesh body.

Scripture says God does not tempt any man (With evil) Neither can God be tempted.
So it has to be Jesus "man" side that got tempted.

So then the Son of God was not tempted, and Jesus was not tempted in all ways, but without sin. It was Jesus flesh part that got tempted. Not Jesus Christ the Son of God (Deity part)

So then we get into a long theological discussion about Trinity, and Oneness and Modalism. Then we debate which Trinity Doctrine as there are two main ones and several made up by many denominations.

Is Jesus God the Father (Oneness) or is there only One Lord God that can't be tempted, and One Lord Jesus Christ who was the Son of God?

Is Jesus the 2nd person in the Godhead, Not the Father, Not the creator, but "Possibly" could be tempted unlike the Father but both are really One God? (Modern Trinity 1600's)

If we just read things simply, Jesus the Son of God was tempted of the devil. The devil was asking him to do things as the Son of God, and offered him all the kingdom as the Son of God.
The flesh part of Jesus is just flesh, it would obey what the Son of God decided.

You have to know all the doctrines, and tons of scriptures to even stand a chance to have a conversation about all this.

Which is why,I should just bail, and you can just respond to what others think.
this keeps the thread from getting turned into a mess that only a couple folks around here could sort out.

Be blessed, keep in your scriptures :)
