This animation about the spirit soul & body is very well done and explains who we are and how we work on this earth. The visual animation makes it very easy to understand. Enjoy.

I think that, how Andrew Wommack talks about a valve being between the soul and the spirit and that we can open or close it...he's talking about our heart !! Our heart thinks, and as a man thinks in his heart so is he. And the heart knows many things so when it is our heart communicating to us is is intuition, a knowing. You ever get a feeling about something...and you were right? That's your heart! Some call it a spidey sense, lol. I have one too.

And I would add one more thing about Andrews presentation, So the soul is mind, will, emotions, & conscience, but I think we can easily add to that, our imagination. There's more to our imagination than most people give it credit for.

So what is the best way to open this valve?

I watched a different pastors video on spirit soul body yhis morning and his message was almost exactly what AW says in his animation vid, except he added that, our soul & body have no access to our spirit so if we want to know the condition of our spirit we are to look into the "spiritual mirror" which is in fact, the word of God.

I would think that we can open this valve. First, our soul (where our mind is) makes the decision to...study His Word, pray, and then we do. We worship in spirit and in truth, we praise Him in spirit and this does another very curious thing, it positions our spirit in front of God, our spirit, and body. This allows (Being in the Lord's presence in spirit) the Lord to continue the sanctification process with us, and it (opens that valve for the Lord's Rivers of living water to flow through us, through our soul, to and through our body to engage and bless the world with.)

This is what is looking to the spirit. To, not let the flesh body and it's senses lead us but rather our own spirit.

This body/flesh dies and deteriorates as it turns back to dust while in the ground. The breath/spirit goes back to God who gave it, Ecc 12:7. The soul which makes up the conscious part of ones being is that of thought, action and emotion. The spiritual nature of man regarded as immortal and separable from the body/flesh at death and susceptible to happiness or misery in a future state.

Without the spirit/breath from God our soul would not be alive as spirit and soul are connected, Genesis 2:7. When we physically die our soul, as the breath, goes back to God who gave it. 1Corinthians Chapter 15 speaks of the resurrection of the dead as those who have died that are the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus as this is the first resurrection. We will not be raised from the grave in our old physical bodies, but will be raised with new Glorified bodies which we not know what we will look like, but will be like Christ, 1John 3:1-3.

The soul departs from us when we physically die like that of Rachel in Genesis 35:18 as it is eternal. Exodus 31:14 and Proverbs 11:30 are two examples of people referred to as souls as the human soul is created by God who gave breath to it, Genesis 2:7; Jeremiah 38:16.

The soul can be lost or saved as it belongs to God, Ezekiel 18:4; James 1:21. The soul is the part of the Spiritually born again that is purified and protected by the Holy Spirit and truth, 1 Peter 1:22 and Jesus is the great Shepherd of souls, 1 Peter 2:25.

I would not have totally believed this in my early years but more often over time, these things have become a reality. The soul is a value for the spirit, i dont believe that the spirit is completely new on rebirth. I believe that the spirit is regenerated and becomes more powerful and more dominant on spiritual growth.

I believe Genesis 2:7 says something differently than what most people believe. Genesis 2:7 teaches us that God took dust from the ground and formed it into a flesh and blood human body. Then God blew the breath(spirit) of life into that flesh and blood human body, and that flesh and blood human body became a living soul or living person. So Genesis 2:7 is teaching us that a living soul wasn't in existence yet after God formed the human body from the dust but hadn't blew the breath(spirit) of life into that human body yet, because Genesis 2:7 is teaching us that the breath(spirit) of life separately, on it's own, without being in the human body wasn't a living soul or living person that God gave to the human body, because if that were so why is the word became in this scripture. If God had given the human body a living Soul or living person then the word became shouldn't be in this scripture.
Also Genesis 7:22 teaches us that animals have the same breath(spirit) of life that human beings do, so animals became living souls or a living animals after God blew the breath(spirit) of life in their various flesh and blood animal bodies.
This means when the breath(spirit) of life leaves the human body at death, the human body is no longer a living soul or living person. That flesh and blood human body ceases to exist as a living soul or living person.
