I posted this link in another thread, but...wow. just...wow. I respect Chuck Colson and his ministries greatly, so I'm pondering this, which...without a scientific background, is more than a bit challenging. However...

I do not think one needs advanced degrees to see the potential for the (mis)use of science to further political and ideological ends, especially since so much research relies on outside funding...

who will even be able to ask certain questions (not just in this field, I mean...in general) if the $$$ are not available?

There you go. This is not about science but about politics and ideology. And unfortunately, the mainstream media have no desire to bring out the truth about any matter. They live for lies and promote lies daily. If the general population has not come to this conclusion already, then there is not much that can be done.

There you go. This is not about science but about politics and ideology. And unfortunately, the mainstream media have no desire to bring out the truth about any matter. That was one of the predictions issued last week by an international panel of experts who gathered at NOAA’s annual Space Weather Workshop to forecast the next solar cycle. If the panel is correct, already-low sunspot counts will reach a nadir sometime between July 2019 and Sept 2020, followed by a slow recovery toward a new Solar Maximum in 2023-2026.
