This is why AIG keeps walking into walls when it comes to evolution:

Cranberries did not “evolve” into a more advanced organism;

"Advanced" isn't part of evolution. Fish populations that evolved legs and eventually gave rise to those that walked on land were not more "advanced" than fish that evolved in other ways.

It's a common superstition, but that's not how evolution works. It works by natural selection gradually favoring changes that help the organisms in the population to survive and reproduce.

environmental and human pressures may have selected for cranberries with certain characteristics (e.g., better floaters). Easy seed dispersal via water probably meant that there was no selective pressure for sugar production, which other fruits may have experienced. The cranberry, like all fruits, has no doubt seen many changes over time,

And that's evolution. Scientific definition for biological evolution is "change in allele frequencies in a population over time."

but it ultimately traces back to God’s creation.

Evolution is no different than any other part of His creation. It's just how He does certain things in this world.
