Every generation believes it is the last one. I've been hearing this stuff since I first became a Christian in 1977, and I have found references to those who have proclaimed "the end is near" dating all the way back to 1,000 AD and even in the first century.

And, after telling us the way it is going to be, after a full day, watchman333 is still silent...
Indeed.

john8, I am sorry you believe whatever you do. It sounds terrible. I believe that I will be raptrured into GLORY along with all Christians dead and alive even before the tribulation. We shall see.:)
Heh heh heh.

Heh heh heh.

Actually, the resurrection comes first.

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17

And the dead in Christ will rise first.

This is powerful, JLB . . . and I mean powerful.

The one thing that gets me though, is this:
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren
The way I see it, in End Times-related threads, everyone seems to have a different take on the situation. That tells me that at least somebody is ignorant.

Could you give a scripture that supports your belief that you will be raptured into glory before the tribulation comes.

Could you give a scripture that supports your belief that you will be raptured into glory before the tribulation comes.

JLB

1 Thess. 4.16-18; John 14.3

In Scripture also there is a distinction between the tribulation principle (John 16.33) and the Great Tribulation, which will be a unique event (Matthew 24.21).

Making a comment and then "tagging" a scripture reference to it, is not the same as writing out a scripture that validates the belief of being "raptured into GLORY along with all Christians dead and alive even before the tribulation", as Jimjib indicated.

Then adding an additional comment, "In Scripture also there is a distinction between the tribulation principle and the Great Tribulation, which will be a unique event", almost distracts from my question.

Please give a scripture that supports your belief that you will be raptured into glory before the tribulation comes.

The Second Coming of Christ
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:37-39

The Days of Noah
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. Genesis 6:2

Our Nation is living in the Days of Noah = Gluttony, Drunkard, Gay Marriage

Wrong!
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. Genesis 6:9

You are apparently forgetting Genesis 9:21 where Noah gets drunk. I am not saying this specifically contradicts the verse you referenced, as he is still able to be upright, but he does get drunk on wine.

I did not forget about Genesis 9:21; This is the first mention of wine in the Bible, or any type of intoxicating beverage. Inasmuch as the first mention of intoxicating beverage in the Bilbe reveals such a shameful episode, we cannot help but garner from this illustration, as given by the Holy Spirit concerning Noah, the warning against alcohol taught here.

Didn't that refer to 6:4...

Genesis 6:4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
Genesis 6:5-9 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.†But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.

I thought this meant his ancestors had not intermarried with the nephilim. Is this not a generally accepted idea?

Yes, Kaileymarie. His pedigree, from Adam, was perfect, for he nor his sons, had intermixed with the fallen angels. Eventually, Jesus Christ would come through his generations.

All this "episode" illustrates is that sin was not completely wiped out by the flood. One has to wonder, however, where Noah learned to ferment grape juice? Was it from the surrounding peoples he was in contact with prior to the flood, or was this something that figured out on his own? Just because this if the first reference of an alcoholic beverage in the bible does not mean it is the first time something was fermented and imbibed.

I believe our Heavenly Father has showed us, through the Holy Bible, that we are the last generation of mankind, however, there are good reasons, Divine reasons, why He did not tell us exactly when this flesh age should end.

And He said unto them, "It is not for you to know the time or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own power." Acts 1.7

What if our Father had included in the Holy Bible an identifying scripture, such as: "For your information, Jesus Christ will return to earth on January 1, 2100, and the world will end." Sounds silly, right? Well, that is silly, but what if we were children living in the year 2099? It would not seem so silly then, and in fact, much of the world would be having a panic attack! Conversely, what if we were children who had lived in 1800? We would have no reason to watch, or to prepare ourselves for the end, knowing by scripture the world was not to end for another 300 years. Divine resoning dictates that in naming dates, FAITH is taken out of the equation, and FAITH is what this flesh age is all about. Nevertheless, as mentioned, our Father does have an exact appointed time for this flesh age to end, but Divine reasoning says it must come as a surprise to humanity.

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, 'Peace and safety;' then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: We are not of the night, nor of darkness. 1 Thessalonians 5.1

Now let us say for arguments sake that everyone on this forum are children of light, for obviously, we love the LORD, His Son, and Their Holy Word. That leaves what, about 5 billion people who will be surprised? Let us pray to have their eyes opened, and plant seeds whenever we can, for I do believe the final tribulations are not far off.

The END is a reference to the end of the age, which is the Last day of this age.

Jesus will resurrect us on the last day!

A good reference point that Jesus gave us on His timeline of "signs" is -

15 "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

If a person is a child of light and has the Spirit, as well as reads the scriptures, that person will know we have about 3 1/2 years to go.

Then the next timeline reference is -

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

When that happens, we are very close.

Agreed JLB, if God has not sealed us by then, we are in it deep!

How Noah made wine.... One day Mrs. Noah ask him to place a sheep skin bag of grape juice in the creek to keep it cool....Noah took the bag saying Sure I will... Walking down to the creek some birds caught his eye. Stopping to watch them he sat beneath the tree and dozed off.... Yikes! its late supper should be about ready... back home he goes forgetting about the juice....
