Faith begins with & is worthless without Christ's Faith as the foundation:

Hebrews 12: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(NOTE: Christ is the author/begining & finisher/end of all faith)

It's Christ's faithful work & our faith placed in it

Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by "faith of Jesus Christ" unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
(NOTE: The Faith "OF" Christ)

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the "faith of Christ" and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
(NOTE: It's the Faith "OF" Christ and thru the righteousness "OF" Christ's faith. Christ becomes the Lord our righteousness (Jer 23:6 & 33:16). And God justifies us "Declares us Righteous in His sight)

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
(NOTE: We live by the faith "OF" the Son of God, who loved us, and gave himself for us)

Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
(NOTE: The promise by the faith "OF" Jesus Christ. It's our Faith placed in Christ's work)

Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
(NOTE: From Faith to Faith)

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
(NOTE: The just live by """HIS""" faith!)

Rom 5:19 (B) so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
(NOTE: By the OBEDIENCE """OF""" CHRIST many be made righteous)

Phil 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but "that which is through the faith of Christ", the righteousness which is of God by faith:
(NOTE: Not by our own righteousness abtained thru law keeping. BUT thru the faith "OF" Christ)

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
(NOTE: Jesus say's, we are sanctified by faith that is IN ME).

While the Temple was operating only the High Priest had authority to impute/transfer sin (Lev 16:21). Christ our Great High Priest (Heb 4:14) has the power/authority to impute sin.

We access Gods Grace thru Faith (Rom 5:2) placed in Christ's finished redemptive sin atoning sacrificial work. Found in Christ's death (Sins required wage PAID), burial (proof he dies) & resurrection (God's receipt, sins payment received & accepted). Then God imputes/transfers Christ's righteousness onto us & transfers/imputes our sins onto Christ. SeeLev 4: 22,24,27,29,31,32,33,35 & Lev 16:21, Gal 3 & Rom 4 for additional context.

1 Cor 1:
29 no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
(NOTE: When we place our faith in Christ's finished work of redemption & resurrection. We become justified, sanctified & Christ/God is glorified!)

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Faith of Christ

Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The faith of Christ, (KJV - John 12:44-50; Galatians 2:16; Philippians 3:9), is where we find faith in Christ. The newer translations has changed where it says faith of Christ to faith in Christ. There is a difference between faith of Christ and faith in Christ as you can read in those scriptures out of the KJV. The faith of Christ is what He believed in the Father as He never said or did anything above that which God gave Him to speak or to do while He was on earth. Our faith in Christ is the same faith of Christ He had in the Father as we can never go above that of what He taught us and the works He left for us to follow in.

The Son of God is that free gift of God's grace given to all who will believe by faith in Christ and confess Him as Lord and Savior so they will see the kingdom of God, John 3:5-7; Romans 10:9, 10. There is no working towards something that is free as all we have to do is accept the gift. Believe is a verb that means something we consider to be true as we have heard the Gospel and not only heard it, but also believe what is written for our well being.

Faith works come after we are Spiritually born again and indwelled with the Holy Spirit that empowers us to go out into the world and continue in the good works of the Lord, Acts 2:37, 38; James 2:14-20. The good works are taking His Gospel message to the world as we too are His disciples and to love and help those in need as what we do we do unto the glory of the Lord Christ Jesus, Matthew 25:31-40

The faith of Jesus Christ is the Gospel message.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

faith is "being sure" and "certain". Being sure of who we but our hope into (Jesus) and being certain that he is who he said he is. The literal son of God

Luke 22:70 They all asked, "Are you the Son of God?" He replied, "You are right in saying I am."

This is where most people don't really believe. People don't really believe there was someone that walked the earth that has God as his literal father. Biggest miracle ever

Sounds like the same thing to me. Faith of is the same as faith in. Well i suppose they have some minor differences in them. In implies of Christ character, and of implies what what Christ does.

Actually faith of and faith in can be two different things. The faith of Jesus Christ can mean the faith that He brought. The Gospel.
